SDB Sport- Dieseling induced power output

Warning - This experiment may harm the AR and cause injury to the shooter.Adequate safety may be taken.

Normal condition Fps output :
Unitedshot pointed 9.4 gns max - 750 fps
Precipell FH 8 gns - 841 fps.
JSB Exact 8.4 gns - 812 fps

All above data are recorded by Simpchrony , made by Ifgian Harsha.

The increase in power from 35-48% is really phenomenal.
However this is just for experiment only.

Basuda, If I Want to test it with Hurricane .22 and SDB 25 .22 with H&N rabbit magnum shots @ 25.77 grains, what precautions you suggest.

Avoid hitting on hard metal surface.
Wear eye protector.
Do not put any liquid/Vaseline in the chamber.
Just use it at loading port only.
Aarmar has capacity to detonate but for SDB 25 it might not be that effective due to low power of main spring.
Excess use of oil/Vaseline will not induce dieseling.

Dear Basuda,
Very nice experiment with many detailed tips & information is useful. I wish to experiment with actual diesel and kerosene (which are real dieseling agents).

Anyone having any prior experience please inform. What is your view Basuda? Can it be experimented?

Dear All, as mentioned by Basu sir its dangerous to the rifle as well as shooter if you dont know what you are doing.
Few months back i brought SDB artemis and i noticed that lot of oil on rifle and i though its normal for new gun.But while shooting it smelled like burning rubber, after around 100 shots i noticed reduction in power and then i asked our local gunsmith about it and he said may be piston seal is broken, then i disassembled it and saw lot of oil inside piston chamber and seal is broken. Becarefull while dieseling airgun. I have attached the broken seal picture.

"That's the power of Dieseling" ....good Experiment..Thanks for sharing and giving tips of precaution .Though which Air gun did you use Basuda..and how much this Simpchrony cost you ..Its looking useful if cheaper to buy

@Satverdar- The gun in use was SDB Sport , the most underrated AR of SDB Stable.
SimpChrony was developed by Ifgian Harshavardhan.He does not make it any more.

@Goru050- in your case it was a chamber Dieseling and that left adverse effect on the synthetic seal. :evil:
In my case it was breech dieseling and no adverse effect was noticed.
Members - It was done to do the experiment only and not for regular use.

Thanks for the info,Basuda i knew you would use SDB's,you are the real fan and one who dig up the true potential of those guns..and sad to know harshavardhan is not making chrony any more..
