Air Guns

Hi,
Not sure if this is possible, but there are now a number of ‘night-scopes’ on the market for air rifles, that would at face value appear to be a normal scope with an IR camera on the end, feeding a small computer and video screen. The one on the link below actually adds an IR touch at the front to provide illumination.
I already have a PI, the IR Camera module and a PiTFT Plus 320x240 2.8" TFT Touch screen, so my questions will be about getting a proof-of-concept up and running.
So firstly, do people that know the camera module intimately think this could be achieved?
Many thanks in advance
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
