Hi..
What would be the best bet when choosing (. 22)
1. Shapes : Dome, edged, wadcutters, etc..
2. Grain factor too.
3. Brand.
For a nominal distance of shooting?

There are 3fpe Indian airguns and there are 15fpe AGs.. There are .20 cal airguns going around as .22 and there are .223 airguns going around as .22... What generality are we talking about here?
Pick any pellet that fits the breech of your gun perfectly and has uniform shape and weight with minimum loose lead hanging out for majority if not all the pellets. You may check out a local store, collect a few samples, shoot then and see which ones group best... Then find the wholesaler (tricky part, they will never tell you that..) and buy a whole carton(s) of those for a few hundred bucks.. enjoy for a few months/year...
Light pellets (12-14gr) are better for short to medium range shooting (sub 50m). Heavier pellets(16gr+) are good for long range shots (60m+). Domes are generally best suited for accuracy. Pointeds for better penetration and flat heads for target shoots.
Wherever possible go for pure lead domed pellets, they will generally give you the best accuracy. Precipell used to be good but more expensive.. Its .22 is in short supply I understand...
