I was going to order a spring M14 airsoft gun from
here . Any idea how much the import/ custom duties will be? The gun is $37 and shipping is about $14.

Be prepared to sell both your kidneys
.
Actually order it and don't worry so much cause its a toy and nothing wild should happen. Duties are 35 % or so on everything related to real air guns.
Do post what happens next as some more of us may get the air soft itch.
Regards,
Dev

I hope the morons at customs realise that gun is a toy, not an air gun..

Hi,
Please don't have a negative attitude towards them, they are also struggling with the laws. I'll tell you one thing though the Delhi air customs guys are very nice and quite dirt free. Airsoft stuff has red tips and if in doubt take a plastic bb with you and chamber it for them. Just be polite with them and normally they'll be nice to you.
Trust me I have interacted twice with them on airguns. The problem is we that we go with negativity and then panic when the guy ask even one question.
So stay cool and trust the force (heh heh the dark side of it
).

A kid handling a firearm does not become an adult and lilkewise an adult handling a toy is not a kid.
Age has nothing to do with ones toys.

Do post pics. The velocity does sound a little too optimistic.I chronoed a chinese airsoft pistol and the velocity did not exceed 105 fps.The plastic pellet can pack a decent sting at 400 fps.

37+14=51$ x 50ish= 2550rs.
from what i surmise, you might get away without having to pay a duty on that. i remember the duty free limit of 10-15000 if you fly home.
this is of course, conjecture. i may be wrong, do let us know how much it fared in the end. best of luck!
