Please merge this topic if we we already have one. Else, why don't we use this topic where interested members can post the pictures of their AR with make / model / caliber details etc...

Looks like among the local manafacturer, two dominant brands are emerging, SDB and Precihole, national ar needs a complete overhaul of its product. Its good, but crude by todays standard.

The one on the left is sdb 45, and the underlever is GG brand. The underlever had gone thru complete retuning. As new, the shot pattern was irregular , the problem was due to a fault at "the last few cm of the barrel rifling" . So had the barrel cut, recrowned, chocked, and while at it i had the trigger modified to two stage trigger.
Now the underlever shoots as good as my fav sdb45, dare say better
Next phase will be muzzle brake, as of now underlever ar definetly louder with cut barrel(sounds like a rimfire .22), i love it but neighbour hate it

How did you re-choke the bore?

And whilst you are at it, how did you modify the trigger to a two stage unit? Pics would help.

Muzzle brakes do not lower the muzzle report. The term you are looking for is 'sound moderator' aka silencer.

Anyway trick is not to overdo the press in one go, but gradualy. rotate the barrel every once in a while, to get a uniform choke. Take extreme care applying pressure. push a pellet to gauge pallet resistance. Overdo it and the barrel will be ruined.
As for the heavy duty press(table press dont work, mine cracked) , go to the metal work shop, every metalwork shop has them heavy press.
Just a reminder, the choke is only done at the last few cm of the barrel..
As for the trigger assembly, i'll post the pic once am back at station..
