Today I received my new scope an UTG 3 - 9 X 32 AO, and ORION STEADY PIX Deluxe scope cam mounting bracket and an adapter to use a smart phone camera. I got this scope for my NP ORION AR because the 3-12X40 AO I have is too bulky for the ORION AR.The scope cam set up is for the PH PCP when they launch it. I wanted to see how it works before investing in a Casio Exilim Zr1100 Hi Speed Digital Camera for slow motion recording. So I got myself an adapter to use a Smart Phone Camera. The set Up seems okay to me. I'll be getting the Casio Camera next month.
I mounted the scope and scope cam set up on my NP ORION and used a NOKIA Smart Phone to capture a movie. I am posting them below.

Very interesting but seems quite bulky to handle, mounted on the gun.

This set up is more suitable for fun shooting from bench rest or using a bipod with springers. But best with PCPs for any kind of shooting.TED of tedsholdover.com recommended them. It is made of Aluminium alloy and very light weight and the camera swings out for normal shooting using the scope.

It's so nice. How much did you spend on the setup?
And how did you get it?
I'm also thinking to buy a scope for my np polaris.
Looks like your scope holding zero very good.
Purchased them from amazon.com. Got them shipped to my sister who lives in US. She brought them over here.
amazon ships scope cam mount and smart phone mount but shipping and customs duty deposit for both of them is $53-00. I really wish amazon.com also uses USPS.
Both my scopes are UTG Scopes and TS ( True Strength Platform ) rated and are designed for Magnum Springers. Very good for what they cost.

Well done & documented.....
Could you provide some details>>>>
* Which AR was used?
* Type of pellets?
* Range at which the shots were taken?

Thank you Brihaji,
My NP ORION.
G Smith High impact
Range in the video was about 12 to 13 yards. Have not yet properly zeroed the scope. Roughly zeroed it only. In too much of a hurry to try the set up.
Still learning to align the cam properly. My Samsung E7 gives better picture quality but I am having focusing issues because it has no manual focus option.

Dear GNV,
Watched the video but could not enjoy that much.
Can you put it on slow motion then reload it.

Sorry Basu,
I don't know how to convert a standard video into slow motion video. Is it possible?

This is a great setup. Good job GNV. I hope the phone is comfortable with the recoil.

Hi GNV
Shooting has now become spectator sports as well . I took this scope came setup which from Harsha, & going to use it with my Tx200 but the problem i face is that the gun cant be shouldered since the camera/mobile is nearer to eye unlike my Night vision setup. Secondly you have to have Casio Exilim Zr1100 as its screen can be rotated at angle to suit shooting position but the price of that camera is an issue as well.
But the coolest feature of Casio Exilim Zr1100 its slowmo capability which enables pellet flight trajectory, & once you remove the Infra Red filters coupled with IR torch it can work as a NIght Vision rig as well.
Hoping to see the end product.

Hi Moulindu,
As you mentioned this set up does not permit to shoulder the gun and use the camera for aiming. To be able to do that with any set up one would need a very long dovetail to mount the scope at the required distance. I don't think any normal gun would provide that as standard. In this set up the camera can be swung out for normal shooting. I'll be getting the Casio Camera this month. I am getting these for the forthcoming PH PCP.

Got my Casio Exilim ZR 1100 High Speed Camera today .
Mounted it on my NX ORION with 3-12 x 40 AO Scope and able to line it correctly with the scope. Now I am learning how to take slow motion videos with the set up.
