Query regarding NX100 scorpius models.

Hi
I went to a local shop today to pick up a NX100 Scorpius.
He showed me two models that he had in stock, both were brown butts but one was a sliver barrel and the other was the usual black barrel.
Does the silver barrel mean the gun is the RF plated version? or does Precihole make a NX100 Silver non RF version as well?
I asked the shop keeper but he could not give me a clear reply.
I want to be sure if i buy the Silver one i am getting RF plating, so kindly help me out.
Also does it make sense to buy RF plating version or not?
PS: I am looking for a Air rifle for Target Practice and Can shooting mostly, if there is anything better than NX100 that the people here can suggest, i will appreciate it.
Thanks
Arhant

RF = Rust free. No other silver (type) plated version.
Black Barrel = Bluing = relatively rust free.
Can shooting = Nx scorpius perfect.
Target practice = consider the .177 cal Polaris (if you plan to shoot in a club)
Target shooting 10m = Nx100 club elite.

For can shooting, you may also consider Carbin version (with shorter barrel) of Precihole Scorpius NX100 or other Precihole rifles. They are a good show off and are a bit expensive and are not always in stock. You can see difference between the models and options at any well known seller website like, kovibazar.com, aimco or 10kya.com.

I have precihole nx 100 long barrel version, so my opinion about Carbin version is based on the information in the forum itself.
Carbin version of nx 100 has shorter barrel and is supposed to be used with muzzle brake. Muzzle brake aids in easier cocking of the gun, which otherwise will be little harder because of shorter length of barrel. Since muzzle brake replaces front sight, carbin version is better suited for use with scope. If you do not want to use scope, carbin version can be used with front sights also.
As per the opinion of seniors in forum, other than barrel length, there is no difference between the two versions. You can use rifle scopes with both the versions.
I have shot deo cans consistantly at a distance of 30 meters, but beyond that getting space for shooting became difficult for me. Beyond 30 m you may prefer a good quality AR rated scope for shooting.

Thank you master..
I'm thinking that long barrels reduce speed of pellets as the pellet travels long in barrel and more friction slows it down.. Presently I have bushnell 4x28 scope attached to ihp 35. 22.do you have any idea about how much energy is ihp 35?
Also do you think buying a nx100 is good move while having ihp 35?
Also carbin version costs more so I'm thinking it might perform a bit better than long barrel..

I have one IHP 35 in 0.177. After that I purchased Precihole NX 100 in 0.22. After one year I find that there was no need to purchase another gun. I do not get time to use both the guns regularly.
To calculate energy of ihp, you need to know FPS and weight of pellet. Put both the data in formula (you can get it from internet). FPS can be calculated using Chrono Connect app.
