air gun accuracy

what type of accuracy can i expect form a gd 600 air rifle. i can hit a 1.5" circle 2 out of 5 times at 20 yards. (is it possible to get 1" groups with this rifle?)

20 yards is probably too much of a distance for a beginner AR. Try 10 m.

Your expectation of accuracy does not solely depend on the AR - Your own skill to shoot straight should also be taken into account

As mentioned above by members, accuracy will depend on a persons capability to shoot.
However to find out how well the gun shoots, try to rest it and replicate the same shooting conditions as far as possible while shooting at whatever maximum range is desired. This should give a fair idea about the accuracy.
That said, for indian break barrels the maximum range while being accurate is about 20 to 30yards. Beer can sized targets are easy up to 50 yards. This has been my experience with the precihole break barrel atleast.

well as mentioned by BB Pelletier i use the artillery hold. i shoot from standing offhand position. after i get in position i count till 10 an d after exhaling slowly , i shoot. i use iron sights. please give some tips for increasing accuracy. (& oh! i can hit 300ml cold drink cans at 20 yards almost every time with the same rifle.
