Got a Foresight fixed to my Muzzle Brake!
Got a Foresight fixed to my Muzzle Brake
Having got used to shooting with scopes over the years, I was bugged with the feeling as to whether I would feel comfortable using Open Sights…
As none of my Muzzle Brakes had foresights, I decided to get one fixed on them…
Using ‘putty clay’ I made a model and took it to my neighborhood machinist to copy it in mild steel…
It took me several visits to guide him in getting what I wanted & finally he came up with this immaculate piece which I fixed on my muzzle brake with epoxy resin...Fixing it was a tricky job, but I think I’ve managed it with some element of success!
The first test shots I made @ 25ft with MS Wadcutters using my Turboshot 0.22cal fitted with (muzzle brake fixed with this newly made foresight) literally “Let My Jaw Drop” (see pic below)
It was unbelievable – I’m yet to get over this accomplishment….
However I couldn’t repeat this during the next round of test I shot…Probably the state of excitement I was in was the reason!
But I consoled myself that the new foresight which I had so painstakingly created had served its purpose!!! (see pic below)

if you say it can not be done, then you are right, for you, it can not be done.

Hi
Nice grouping Brihaji, another creation for the family. I guess the muzzle break detached from the barrel will be difficult to realign it with the rear sight as the muzzle break will rotate in its axis to be fixed to the barrel.
Regards Moulindu

Hi Brihaji
Sorry for the stupid queries as I donot have any experience with muzzle break. Only videos i have seen on Youtube are the one which screws to the barrel itself without any other attaching aid. If there isn't any issue would you kindly post the schematic dia of the MB.

Great work Briha sir I love shooting open sights. Nothing beats the sense of accomplishment of a tight group with stock open sights
There is no downside to Freedom!
