Regards

Raman

Have you figured out who will service your Daystate in India if you have problems? Or do you plan to send it to the UK? Even there, not everyone deals with Daystate repairs

That is the issue I have to live with as my geographical location is as such I don't have an expert PCP gunsmith in around 600 kms from where I live, God forbid if there is some kind of break down I have to figure out myself and I think after couple of email exchange from Daystate that would help just that it's gonna take longer than usual.

Not to sound cynical and sorry for answering what you are not asking, but IMO Daystates are probably one of the most over rated and over priced PCPs. I am not saying they are bad. Good ones but over rated and over priced. They bring out a special edition every fortnight which just defies logic.

Sorry for the rant, Ramandeep.

There are a couple of guys who sell them in Delhi at extortionate prices.

Best-
Vikram

Hi Vikram,
Thanks for concern and advice right not my criteria for buying a Daystate air gun is more of an impulse buy than anything else. I don't want too pay way too much to the gun dealers in India so is the reason I m looking for import of air gun via courier route as I m having trouble finding a website which would ship to India.

Thanks and regards

Raman

Hi Ramandeep
Relish sports have almost all the daystate models listed on their website in .177 cal. They have handpumps and adapters as well but I have never ordered an air rifle from them and I read somwhere on the forum that these days they are not being able to clear the orders due to some problems (with customs). They have their contact details mentioned on their site so you can call them up and find out if they'll be able to deliver or not.http://www.relishsports.com

I have done business with relish sports earlier but that been spares of air guns not bought air gun from them as I have seen the prices quoted by them is around 25-30% higher than what it could actually be available at.

Ramandeep,

A friend of mine bought a Daystate Huntsman XL from airgunsofarizona last year. It was a hassle free transaction. No idea about their policies on shipping to India right now. You might want to mail them and see.

Hi Prabath,
Very recently I have come to know that fedex is not shipping air guns to India apparently they have some issues with customs which they are trying to resolve and until that they would ship to India. On the contrary I will check with them thanks for your help.

Raman

There has been hassle now as I remember till last year the air guns was cleared just by sending the photocopies of club membership, this year both in Delhi and Mumbai customs when my shipment arrived I had to send my original membership card for clearance. I don't know what is this all leading towards. Not very exciting news for shooters and enthusiasts alike.
But apart from these issues how is your overall experience of owning and using a Daystae.

Regards

Raman

Do pause and think.
You are impulsively planning to buy an overpriced (even in its original cost) airgun with no service backup. IMHO, it is not worth the effort.
