Indians For Guns

Hello Everyone

am i new here and i need some guidelines, i have check many topic here and i found that without club membership i cant buy
airpistol. so i want to buy " Crosman 1911 Semi-Auto .177 BB CO2 Air Pistol " from amazon.com and they are shipping this item
to India, if i buy this airpistol from amazon, can i get any trouble from custom department ?

also what about airsoft gun? both are different ? can i buy it from amazon without club membership ?

i cant afford club membership for my new hobby, so any suggestion ?

since you are new here welcome, one does not need to be a member of club to buy airpistol, many shops if not all in India sell airguns to non club members.

not trouble at all, they will not release it untill they are happy that all the docs etc that is needed are provided.

you can buy anything from Amazon with out club membership.

save your money and then apply for membership

And just by the way, the Crosman you mentioned is a BB gun, not an airpistol.

Customs being customs, they can hold it up. For a BB gun, you normally would not need a membership or anything, but since it looks like a pistol, you can expect some alarm bells to go off. All depends on how vigilant they are at the Xray machine, does the guy have any knowledge of BB guns, whether he's had a fight with his wife in the morning, and such things. As our senior member Nagarifle mentioned above, once they hold it, you would need to satisfy them. Not us or anybody else, but the Customs guys.

Would suggest you try to get a pre-owned one from someone who's already imported, or wait for your club membership to come through. Or as Nagarifle suggested, go through the Yellow Pages section here and find a gunshop close by.
