Hi airgun lovers on IFG

Check out Precihole's SUPER HOT calendar for 2014... featuring the present, upcoming and concept models. Its a limited edition and meant for distributors only.
Take a close look at the 'CARBIN' - the beauty with short barrel, muzzle shroud and no iron rights. In case you guys don't know... its already in production and will be available SOOOON all over the country.
But I must admit, quality of the four-page calendar is exquisite... absolutely stunning :D In fact its so stunning that even the lady of the house did not mind putting it up on a wall and even taking the snaps for this post :D

ENJOY

TC

PS: No point for guessing how I got one lighting up my den

The Karbin and the RF version are already with the Gujarat distributor and are available for sale. In fact the distributor is doing robust business with the Scopius, surpassing his own expectations.

Hi Katana,
That's great news. Since the shipments to other states are on their way I said they will be available soon. I edited my post a bit after reading yours :D

Drool...drool.. :P The 'Karbin' in wooden stock with rust free coated muzzle break looks awesome :D I have already tried my hands at my friend's Scorpius & I must admit I was pretty much blown away by its accuracy :) If only Dr. Shirsat could come up with a more powerful (15-18fpe) air gun

That is a Beautiful calander Indeed. I have registered my Precihole at their web site and get your own calender :D . done that and now awaiting the calander. I have put off my planned air gun import till i can see that wooden stock Karbin :) and if it is as impressive as it looks in the calander.. i dont think any more imports would be required. Hope some enterprising soul will soon make power upgrades and accessories for the Precihole.
Hope a day will come when Precihole will be featured in Pyramid air and such sites :)

sir,

With due respect I would like to state that unlike UK there's NO statutory limit of 12 fpe in India.. Alas, There is a stupid test in place to test the Air Gun's power called "Deal Wood Test"!

Kindly go through the Central Government notification No. G.S.R 991 dated 13-7-1962 where it had excluded arms and ammunition of the descriptions specified in Column (1) of Schedule II from certain provision of the Act and subject to conditions mentioned therein. Posting the relevant parts here FYI:

Schedule II

Arms & Ammunition
1.
(1)
(2)
(3) Air guns, air rifles and air pistols which satisfy the following test, namely that - the projectiles discharged from such guns or pistols do not perforate a target 12 inches square formed by deal-wood boards of even grain, free from knots, planed on both sides and of thickness of 1/2" and 1" for air pistols and air guns/ rifles respectively:
Provided that in making and estimating the test the following conditions shall be observed, namely:-

(a) the weapon shall be held horizontally with the muzzle at a distance of five feet from the target,

(b) the test shall be repeated twenty times for each class of projectiles which can be discharged from the weapon; and

(c) perforation shall be deemed to be effected-
(i) in a case where the projectile is a dart, if the point of the dart pierces the back of the target, and
(ii) in any other case if the projectile passes completely through the back of the target.

Provisions of the Act (which the above are exempted from)

All; provided that the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, retain all or any of the provisions of the Act in respect of air pistols or of any class thereof in the case of any class of persons or of any specified area.

also Sir, Kindly go through following post by Bennedose were he had conducted deal wood test with his Orion..I am sure a 15- 18 fpe gun won't break any law.. :D

S.M.Patel and Sons is the distributor, not the dealer, although he does retail them. You'll find their contact details in the Yellow Pages section on the forum. I'm not sure if he will ship it outside Gujarat.
I have put off my planned air gun import till i can see that wooden stock Karbin :) and if it is as impressive as it looks in the calander.
The stock is not wood!. It's wonderfully surface coated on the same composite material stock to give it that look. Unfortunately it does not have the feel of wood.
Hope some enterprising soul will soon make power upgrades and accessories for the Precihole.
I too hope for the same. My twelve your old son shot it the other day and had the gall to tell me it's 'powerless'. To quote him again, 'it's good from far, but far from good'!

Nevertheless, Precihole is still to be commended. They have given us something that one would have to pay a minimum of thrice it's value if it were to come by the import route.

I believe that Dr.Shirshat is committed to the 12 ft-lb British limit if Brihaji says so. But I feel sad that Doctorji choose to prefer the British Law instead of producing ARs conforming to the Indian Deal wood test. The only innovative Indian Air gun manufacturer doing such a thing is really heart breaking at least to me ,a single common man of India who loves good ARs but could not import the one he likes because of the stupid import laws and to some extent the affordability of such guns.

That...Is a real anti-climax :( and a sad fact that a custom stock maker is a rarity/not available in India.

Hi Guys,
> Had a long & illuminating chat with Dr. Shirsat this morning... He was very clear & emphatic when he said:
1. The British laid down the statute of 'Deal-wood Test' to limit the power of Air Guns not to exceed the 12 foot pound limit...
2. BTW - Deal-Wood is a Scandinavian Pine Wood which for reason best known to them was selected as the medium for testing Air Guns...
3. As there are no exact specifications of the density of Deal Wood - they vary in the local stuff available for testing.
4. The test consisted of firing "Various Kinds" of pellets from an Air Gun - the distance between the muzzle & Deal-Wood being "5ft".
5. This statute was enacted over half a century ago & continues to be upheld even after the British left our country.
6. The Indian Forensic department follows this statute 'verbatim' & expects all Indian manufacturers of Air Gun to conform to this.
7. In view of the above manufacturers do not want to overstep this limitation & get penalized.
> Finally the Forensic Department does not encourage manufacturers to challenge this statute in any manner.
> It is sincerely requested that we abstain from debating this issue further, to not catch the attention of those who are bent upon issuing licences to Air Guns & kill the joy of possessing an Air Gun for the pleasure of target shooting or plinking.
