Hello club

Requesting information ,updates and possibly reviews for the new Nx 100 series. All I could find is that it is updated on their website and Aimco portal as well.
Aimco is accepting booking for the product priced at 11900 INR as seen on their website and says the delivery starts 7th of this month.

Disclaimer :Considering the acquisitions in the previous precihole thread I will clearly state that I am in no ways related to the manufacturer nor have I bought any of his products until now.

Regards
Wingsoffires.

got mine the day before, a .22 Scorpius... shot one pellet, over all feel didn't seem too different than my previous SX100 pegasus or Orion, but the cocking was much easier than how the cocking of the springers was when i was breaking those new ones in.

Plan to mount a scope on this one though with two ring mounts, considering the rifle's recoil is supposedly lesser than the springers.

Visually it seems to be the same though some pictures of your end would be good . There is no user derived detail absolutely about this nitropiston AR hence we rely on you for further information.
Thank you for the reply.

Precihole ORION 0.22 cal fitted with a Gas Ram
My experience with shooting a Gas Ram fitted ORION 0.22 cal has been very enjoyable simply because…

1.The cocking was smooth & positive
2.Felt no vibrations worth the mention, for the following reasons….
a)Unlike the ‘spring’ that gets compressed when the AR is cocked, here it’s a column of Gas / Air that gets compressed hence there is a feeling of smoothness all through…
b)When the sears get dis-engaged in the case of spring, the compressed spring when released tends to either rotate or wobble which cause vibrations… Whereas with the Gas Ram the compressed column of Gas / Air does not…. Thus enabling a smooth forward movement of the piston…
c)Periodic lubrication of the spring is necessary to eliminate friction & prevent rusting, whereas with Gas Ram it’s a sealed unit hence no lubrication is necessary…
d)Springs over a period of time tend to lose their resilience, and need to be changed to retain their power, whereas this does not happen with Gas Ram…once fitted they retain their original power output…
e)Power can be increased or decreased in a Gas Ram by increasing or reducing the gas / air pressure (from 8fpe to 10fpe to 12fpe) – Whereas springs come with fixed power and it reduces over a period of time with usage… In a Gas Ram the power is consistent…
f)A Gas Ram powered AR can be kept cocked through extended periods of time – whereas springs if kept cocked will lose their resilience & lose power…
g)Gas Ram fitted ARs can handle heavier pellets comfortably – whereas most local spring powered ARs may not accept them.

I have put in over 500 pellets and the performance has been very satisfying – as shooting has become a pleasurable experience!!!
For those gun enthusiasts who are not very conversant with ARs, a lot of queries may arise in their minds – the “IFs & BUTs – it’s understandable, hence I do hope my experience with Gas Ram powered ORION will set their minds at rest…

It’s my personal experience that I am sharing, so that anyone of you too, can experience the joy of shooting a Gas Ram powered AR…

HAPPY SHOOTING!!!!

I was wondering about increasing the power level. How is that done. Alternatively, can a more powerful gas ram be used?

Thanks in advance

Got my Scorpius today. Aimco packaged it well and Gati delivered in two days ! I have fired just a few pellets but overall feels very good. I cannot check out the range beyond 100 ft as that's the limit of my boundary in the backyard.

Hi there,

Briha sir, silly query it may sound; is refilling required to regain power in gas ram air rifle? Please enlighten.

Hi sokkri,

Today I had an opportunity to inspect NX and my findings are as under :
1) Bluing is nicely done
2) backsight is nice evenly cut
3) Half cock position is very low thus more swept vol.
4) No barrel droop, either upward or downward.
5) A little scraping sound while cockimg.
6) Cocking effort is between midium to hard.
7) Trigger is very nice and breaking at, may be less than 1200 grms with no creep. However I could not find any stage difference.
It could cost little less too.

Thanks. What is the actual effective range that one can expect from Scorpius?

Since Aimco did not have G Smith pellets all I got were Mastershot ones.

Which are the scopes one should look at?

Got one today, the Scorpius! The Gujarat distributor sent one across at a rather mouth watering price......will try it in a couple of days. Let's see how it behaves compared to the Orion.
