Hi Babar,
Great looking guns & well maintained too...
Did you acquire the Diana recently - from where & how much did it cost?
Are you planning to put a scope on it?

Hello Briha,
Yes I got it yesterday only from a person in Delhi, he has advertised it on quicker, I have paid 48K. No, I prefer shooting open sight.

Babar
the 48 and the 52 are the same. same action and stroke. the only difference is the 52 has a fancier stock. I do believe the 54 is also similar to the 48/52 , only difference being the sled action that the 54 has.

I have never shot the 48/52 but have shot a bit with the 54. great gun but heavy. the 48/52 should be a great shooter....not too sure of the weight.
my only problem with the magnum guns in 177 is that they tend to be a bit "too hot". with a good after market kit...JM , Vortek you should be shooting medium weight pellets at 900 + fps. OR a good home lube should have the rifle shooting around 900fps. a mv of 20 to 22 + ft lbs with a 177 is a little too much. in 177 as one gets close to the 1000fps accuracy tends to go down. just my thoughts.....
900fps and a medium weight pellet that gives a mv of close to 18 ft lbs is imo around the max operating limit in 177.
I prefer open sights too.
what ever its a great gun.....have fun and shoot safe........

sorry.... forgot. what trigger does the rifle have . to5 or to6 ??
also an edit on the previous post.......it should be ME and not mv while referring to the energy.

The Diana 48/52 is an excellent AR, as Mercury mentioned a tad heavy for long sessions of shooting - but good for bench rested shooting.
I've shot the RWS 54 which is very similar & enjoyed the shooting - packs around 18ft,lbs energy (have hit coke cans at 50yds)...
Look after it & enjoy your shooting while following Safety Rules

Dear Mercury & Briha,
Thanks for your feedback. Yes too heavy to handle but very powefull.
Can you suggest what should be the market value as per the condition of the weapon, did i paid correct, or over or under ????

Babar.....why worry. you got a good rifle...now go out and shoot it !
looking at the picture , the rifle looks like the very early model TO1 trigger system. the shape of the safety lever is an indicator.
the rifle looks good in the images . how does it shoot ??

Babar...i get an error message when i try and open the page.
andy_65_in......no comparison there. i am a big fan of Diana rifles as much as Daystate. if any thing i guess the M54 is a stand out for Diana. Daystate is in a different league !! lucky you. why don't you start a separate thread with a review of the huntsman classic ( in .177). i am very interested to buy one and look forward to some reviews by Indian users.
