Importing Air(Gun)Rifle-www.pyramydair.com-Experience
Hi,
I have recently joined this forum for clarification on importing an Air Rifle from USA (www.pyramydair.com)
*Please advice how I can Import an .177 Air Rifle (step by step procedure)
*I AM NOT certified from any shooting or part of any rifle association / clubs
*Is there a way that I can import without any documents?
*I am only going to use it for target shooting.
*Please share your experience if any
*Alternative methods if any
I was hoping to buy anyone of the below:-
http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Hatsan_85 ... /2788?ab=1
http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Gamo_Big_ ... /1280?ab=1
http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Gamo_Whis ... ifications

1)No, you cannot make an import from pyramidair if you are not a member of Rifle association and you should have shooters ID card from club to make import.
2)you can buy if you go abroad and pay duty for the same.
If you are only using this for target shooting seriously , am afraid any of these above rifle will help you.All the above are magnum rated air rifles specifically for plinking and hunting you have to keep your fps of your air rifle below 700fps for a steady shot.Just a small punch in paper is needed. If you use above rifles you target will tear down after ricocheting from pellet trap.Prakash.Thirumeni wrote: *I am only going to use it for target shooting.

Dr JK is right.
Airgun import is 'restricted', aint prohibited. Which means its restricted to the club members. However, if you're not a member, and if that's your first time import, you can write a letter to asst commissioner of customs through FedEx or some clearing agent that you can pay the duty. Now the custom might levy 100% duty + fine/penalty. Fine/penalty could be around 5-10k depending on the total value including custom duty.

Again, this doesn't mean that you could go on importing the airguns without the club membership.

Hi , I would like to import a diana p1000 .177 air rifle full power (26Joules) model to hyderabad. I have membership in National Rifle Association of India. Will it be a problem to make customs clearance in hyderabad airport. What documents should i required to show at customs.
And actually, if possible I want to import Diana P1000 .22 air rifle full power(40Joules) model. Is it possible to import this rifle. As I have membership in National Rifle Association of India.
Looking forward for your advice. Thanks in Advance.

Imported Gamo de tuned for india...
Gamo Airrifles has been a dream of many of us in India. Now we hav lot of sellers in here. I was informed that the original joules has been reduced as per our arms act 2016 for India. If any one who tested chronograph pls share the fps.
If any one know which part of the gun is tuned for lower joules plz share.
