The baby just arrived. Another beautiful thing in the collection.
Got delivered before time, and Zafar bhai took extra precautions where the packaging is concerned as the gun came via surface transport from Ballarpur to Mumbai.
Thanks,
AT.

Congratulations tiwariarrun! Thats a really nice airgun, I have one too. It shoots really well and weighs almost as much as my Sig P226. Recommend using Pellgunoil on the CO2 cylinders to help lubricate your gun.

Relax at home, place order on the net, transfer the fund and receive it at your doorstep in less than a month. Now what more do you want ?
Bowman, I often feel this temptation to dump my real guns and go for a collection of Co2 replicas. All the pleasures minus all the hassles.
TC
PS: Look at the Baikal Makarov I am holding in the picture to the right. Its made of the original slide, frame, trigger, springs, hammer and even magazine (modified to hold the BBs and Co2 can) used in a real Makarov made at the Baikal factory in Russia. This Baikal Makararov BB pistol (also called the Airmak) is banned in most countries because the parts are interchangeable with a real gun. Wish I could explain how it feels every time I fire it, take it apart, or just show off Incidentally, the Makarov BBs that are sold by Relish Sports and other sites are made by Umarex using ordinary metal and some of the parts, like the slide stop, don't work.

Thanks everyone.. Yes, it's one of the most realistic looking pistol. However, it's just for the collection stuff.
Also, I don't carry them anywhere or display them in public. Not recommended either.

Thanks TC and Arrun but I guess I was not clear in my question.
What I wanted to know was why not order direct from PyramidAir and why from Relish Sports? I was pondering this question some months back when I wanted to import my Izhmash/Baikal 46M air pistol and did contact the Relish guy. He seemed to be a genuine guy alright and explained me everything in detail. But what I got from it was the only advantage that relish offers over direct import route is that a) he covers manufacturer warranty (for 1 year if I remember) which may otherwise not be available in India and b) he will work out the hassles for you.
Given that a) these modern Air Pistols have very little chance of failing in the 1st year of purchase and b) even if you are importing direct the Courier (FedEx/UPS) will take care of import procedures for you.
I went the direct way...

IMO bowman, relish has to ensure you get your gun. Some prefer that guaranteed delivery than a possible confiscation hassle.

Even with the ".177 Cal / 4.5 mm " written / engraved on the left side of the frame ???
( And the Warning text on the other side )
Reminds me of this scene from the movie "Snatch "

And 15k for a toy gun ???

I have carefully gone through the text of legal materiel on Relish and there is nothing to suggest that they commit to such a level of service. Their claim is simply to facilitate the process on behalf of the actual importer and Relish acts as an Agent (remember they still need your Identification, membership proofs etc.).
'About Us
Relish Sports aims to ease the way of buying outdoors sports related products. We want to you to buy with confidence and peace of mind that comes with our return policy' http://relishsports.com/index.php?main_page=about_us
Also clause 8 seems to be a liability clause in their Terms of Use and does it not suggest that if authorities decide Not to Process with the import then you are pretty much left to fend for yourself?
'Some product/service may require some sort of license or permit in some area/states/city or similar jurisdictions. Use/ownership/possession/display/carriage may be restricted/banned/illegal in some area/states/city or similar jurisdictions. In all above or similar cases you (user/purchaser/payer) are solely responsible for checking/following/getting requisite permits / license , legal confirmation from the relevant authority to use/own/possess/display/carry such product and Relish Sports (relishsports.com) will not be responsible for any illegal/harmful/damaging/threatening or apparently illegal/ harmful /damaging /threatening use/misuse/non-use of the products /services provided by Relish Sports (relishsports.com) , its owner/associate/employee etc. If you buy/pay for/use the products /services provided here, it will be irrevocably considered that you are legally allowed to do so and are fully responsible for your action.' http://relishsports.com/index.php?main_page=conditions
Is it not a bit queer that Mumbai customs is raising these queries and Relish is also very much a Maharashtra based enterprise!? After all their Delhi counterparts countinue to process these imports without a hitch...

BowMan, The choices are wide, and everyone's free to order their stuff from anywhere in the world. The procedure is the same.
