Here is a little innovation to allow night time plinking in pitch darkness. My torch allows shooting up to 10 meters. I tied together using string, the handles of two "foldback" clips that are available at any stationers ,

Nice innovation. Don't the clips get loose after a few shots?

Proper clamps meant for attaching torches to barrels are, unfortunately, not shipped to India. I did see (somewhere) similar clamps to attach stuff to bicycles.

Good idea.
In this case I am sure Araldite is a good choice, but I discovered that for sticking telescope mounts to a rifle with no scope facility they recommend an adhesive with metal powder incorporated called "JB weld". Is that available in India?

Actually the clips hold on very tight, but the points where the handles join the clips are loose and move by design. In practice this is not a problem because the torch simply swings and hangs in a new position below the barrel if the barrel is tilted to left or right, but the light beam remains parallel to the barrel. But while shooting the position remains constant. In any case the torch lights up a 1 meter plus diameter area at 10 meters so the exact alignment of the torch is immaterial.

> Yes! Some hardware shops do sell it - I had bought a pack long ago to fix the scope rail on my 0.22 cal Samurai 3G, Even though I had 3 screwto fix the rail, I used this adhesive for extra bonding strength.

Good idea, and thanks for posting it up bennedose!

I suppose one could make all sort of suggestions on improvement, starting with using a piece of camo-colored string LOL, but for a quick mount made out of things that most houses have on hand somewhere I find your clamp design hard to beat!
