It is not uncommon the shooter make a mistake, this video shows the difference between a direct hit and a hit with ricochet.
Even losing power is a shot that can do much damage.

1. Never shoot / plink in areas where people / livestock are close by
2. Always use a pellet trap while shooting / plinking in the open / indoors
3. Ricocheted pellets can cause serious injuries to innocent & unaware bystanders
4. Such shgooting is against the law & social / moral code of behaviour
5. It portrays disregard to others & Safety rules
6. If caught its punishable by law
