Hi Vivek,
> "Dieseling" is what happens when there is excess lubricant in the receiver of the Air Rifle.
> When the gun is fired the compression that takes place ignites the lubricant, which burns & produces gases.
> The result is smoke coming out of the barrel, excessive sound and vibration.
> This can damage the seal & the inernals of the Air Rifle.
> The carbon residue from the burnt lubricant deposits inside the receiver, thus affecting performance / efficiency / accuracy.
> Net result is "It's harmful to the Air Rifle".
> New ARs sometimes diesel - But after firing a few pellets stop (after the residual lubricant has been burnt off).
> Sometimes ignorant shooters put oil into the barrel / breech / transferport to produce that "bang' sound & see smoke comig out of the barrel - THIS MUST BE AVOIDED AT ALL TIMES.
