Lubrication of Leather washer / Seal ,in an air gun

I need some guidance
After inserting the piston in the chamber, how can the leather washer be oiled,and secondly, is it necessary to lubricate the washer.... and after how much time ,one can start using the gun,,,

Lots of topics on this here if you look it up.

First of all the leather washer has to be soaked in oil for at least a couple of hours before installation.
You need to lubricate the washer once between 500 - 2000 shots or when you hear a squeaking sound during cocking it. - 2-3 drops of a premix(2t+kerosene or singer sewing machine oil - in a propotion where the 2t is more dominant) applied in the transfer port should do the job, leave the gun standing for awhile to allow the oil to reach the washer and do its job.
no prescribed time before you can start using it but like i said above - leave it for a while - maybe an hour or so.
