From what I understand the pellet in the AR6 is fired directly from the cylinder instead of the chamber. If the cylinder is incorrectly aligned with the barrel even slightly, accuracy will suffer. You will be better off with an Air Arms S410 instead.

You were meant to pick up a Air Gun on return for your recent trip, what did you come back with.

Do share your experience of bringing back a piece, quite a few of us would be intrested.

Hi Sanjay,

I managed to bring it back all right but it was nightmare  It's not an experience that I would ever want to repeat again no matter what! Also considering all the hidden expenses  it's a much better option to import the weapon by post or courier.

Bops,

You are scaring the punters.

Just in case people are wondering, the problems were primarily at Heathrow airport due to the recent terrorist attack.

In B'bay, the customs wanted an NOC from the police commissioner's office. This is a standard practice and a nuisance. However, it only becomes a nightmare if you haven't factored in the extra time taken to get the NOC. In other words, keep at least one day free rather than taking a connecting flight within a few hours of reaching B'bay. Obviously, this does not apply to those living in B'bay.

My Congratulations Gasram.. for the beautiful rifle and for managing to bring
it in. It is an accomplishment no matter what you consider !

Instead of crying, you may post some groups and performance details ( later
of course ) so that we can have some feel of this relatively unkown AR.

Enjoy your Evanix :D

Folks, I managed to bring in a HW45 not an AR6. For those interested in reading about the Evanix AR6, here is a link.

http://www.americanairgunhunter.com/ar6.html

I will make another post about bringing in the the HW45 soon.

NOC stands for No Objection Certificate. It is issued by the Arms Section at the Commissioner of Police's office.

In theory the police are supposed to test the airgun and if it passes the Deal Wood test, the police will issue a NOC saying that the airgun in question is within the permitted power limits and does not require a firearm licence.
