I am wondering if using a rear peep sight like this one

with a blade foresight like this one is workable.....

Generally foresights are hooded or at least have guards on either sides hence the question.....

A peep + post works quite well and is in fact a battle tested design, think M1 Garand & M1 Carbine to name just two.

armed forces do use such a set up on some of their rifles.....

i did have a friend who used peep sights and blade fore sight on his hunting rifle very effectively.....but, and this is in his words and i am not vouching for it...

...at short ranges, on smaller targets he had dificulty getting a clear sight .." what range and size of target i never asked.

Setup both sights and did a quick test and the results are encouraging. Unfortunately I was constrained to use a very short range of seven metres.

I really like this set up and had ordered such a peep for the rear. But then I had problems with my eyes and couldn't use it. But I remember shooting well with this combo earlier. What are you planning?

They say peep sights are better for people who do not have a good eye sight. I know mine are not what they used to be. So going peep on the air rifle.......

What can I say Manish,

Except great minds think alike...

I've had a few goes, albeit at 15m (so far), and find it much easier to use than the old blade and notch

Thanks Manish

The peepsight is a Beeman, the stock tyrolean
