Hello Folks,
I'm Tej living in hyderabad. I've always liked shooting as a hobby and lately decided to put some more focus to it. I've read a lot of posts in IFG and got tons of info related to the dealers and air rifles suggested for beginners. Now that i've decided upon an IHP 35 .177 rifle, i'm unable to find it anywhere in hyderabad. I've tried
-Target point, Nampally
-Royal Armoury, Lakdikapool
-Secunderabad Armoury, Near paradise, Secunderabad
The only place where i could find this gun is in royal armoury and i doubt if it's new cuz it looked a little seasoned, Also the quote given to me by the dealer was a stunning INR 12,500. Tried bargaining but he said 12k was the final price he can offer. Based on the figures shown here on IFG, the quote sounded way too high. Just wanted to check with you guys if that's the right price for an IHP 36 .177 rifle.
I'm open to spend upto 10k for the rifle alone. And i'm also fine with getting it couriered from a different city. Please let me know the other options that i can look at.

Thanks,
Tej

Thanks for the quick reply vikram. Also can you tell me if it makes sense to wait for the availability precihole airgun variants like precihole club or pegasus through aimco or any other dealer. Or shall i go ahead with ordering the IHP 35 on aimco?

Thanks,
Tej

The other Precihole variants that you mention are 0.177 cal. If you're keen on getting a 0.177 cal gun you can wait. For a good gun like an SX-100 you ought to buy good pellets as well. Someone in this forum mentioned that India made 0.177 pellets are better than 0.22. Also, I have heard, most shooting ranges in India allow 0.177.

Exactly! I want to try my hand at some shooting ranges in hyderabad. That's the reason i was looking at the .177 cal rifles. Now that only .22 is available on aimco website. I think i'll have to wait for a few more weeks for the other models to be launched. What's the brand of pellets that I've to get for my prospective SX-100?

Thanks,
Tej

If you have finalized on SX-100 & want to participate in competition then go for the CLUB version because of less recoiled & smooth trigger then the higher version of SX-100
You can try Indian made Master Shot or Gsmith Pellets
The best is JSB Match Diabolo Exact .177 Cal, 8.4 Grains you will get one hole group at 10 Meters

Thanks,
Tej

Dear Teejay,
Who says only .22 is available on aimco website ? Go again on site. There is IHP National M25 Air Rifle 4.5 mm available " In Stock" for Rs.5,300/- The website says the is AR is highly suitable for young shooters at rifle club.

Abbas

Hello,
.22 does not fall in sports cal. Only .177 is allowed in all ranges and open sights are permitted till state level compititions. Later u need to add peep sights to it. If ur shooting for fun as a hobby u can go ahead with .22 air guns.
Decide first and go for it.
If u place order in aimco, just speak to them before, they r very friendly, anf when ever they have stock, u will get it.
good luck.

As per my knowledge Precihole had supplied Club version to the Air rifle clubs & the rifles was used in last month’s competition held in PUNE
I think dealers are not interested in Club Version so you can directly mail to Precihole
