Precihole is far ahead of the Indian made brands and comparable to imported ones.

I feel its too early to ridicule the ihp ,no doubt its promising but precihole has a lot to prove ,nothing like standing the test of time .Talked to joy biswas and he is optimistic but not overwhelmed ,signs of a seasoned man.He has ordered 15 rifles and would wait for the judgment.

pretty strong words Doc...but even you will have to admit it is a step in the right direction. one of the reasons the air gun industry has stagnated in India is a lack of competition.
one can compare the ihp to ambasadors and fiats; but if market restrictions had not eased we would still be driving those cars. look at the growth of the car industry today and this has been fueled only because customers have a choice and the manufacturers will cater to them to hold their market segment. no choice and the customer is forced to accept what ever is available, with the manufacture not worried about customer needs.
ihp uses outdated technology and will not change. i think the only time they did try something different was when they introduced compressed air, or was is co2 in the 80s and then pulled them off the market hastily.
i have not tried the precihile guns but what has impressed me are some new innovations they have put in. the most notable being better guides, top hats and newer synthetic piston seals. of course a 2 stage trigger and micrometer rear sights are a bonus.
no , i am not promoting this new gun, neither am i writing off the ihp. all i am saying is competion will benifit us shooters.
this is definately a very positive step and should be seen as such.

Precihole.
I say it as one of the early customers, just like Pratik above (and no, I don't have shares in the company!!). Never thought I will be the classic "early adopter" of the marketing lectures
!!!!!
As Mercury says, competition is good for the consumer. Always. Look at cars, phones, mobiles. Even TV and radio. If Precihole manages to wake IHP from its Kumbhakarna-type sleep, then it will be even better for us.
To quote Tennyson:
The old order changeth
Yielding place to the new
And God fulfils himself in many ways
Lest one good custom should corrupt the world

Just after Maruti Suzuki 800 was introduce in Indian market the whole Indian car industry change.
I wish the same thing will happen to Air rifle Industry in India so “Aam Aadmi” can get lots of choice
One more thing I want to share
Nitro piston & PCP air rifle prototypes was ready we have tested it & Precihile have got clearance form forensic Department but actual production will take more then a year
Nitro piston is same like Springer but very smooth cocking, less vibration & less recoil
The present Springer can easily upgraded to Nitro piston
The PCP is dam good man I don’t have permission to post the pics but its somewhat look like air arms PCP’s
The stock is same for all three models (Springer, Nitro piston & PCP)
pretty strong words Doc...but even you will have to admit it is a step in the right direction. one of the reasons the air gun industry has stagnated in India is a lack of competition.

IHP 25/35 or Precihole SX100 ????
Which one is much better ?
Short Answer
===========
Precihole SX100
Long Answer
===========
Having used the former extensively and tested the latter to the fullest extent....The SX100 scores over the IHPs in the following areas......
Build Quality
With the IHP it seems the workmen were keen to push it out the door asap. The SX100 is assembled lovingly by dedicated craftsmen.
No two IHP's will be the same.....THE SX100 are machined on CNC machines ensuring even and very tight tolerances
Stock
SX100 : Synthetic and ergonomic.....That is why they say, fits like a glove.....It is not misleading advertising....
IHP stock...do I really need to whine about it ? You know better.....the quality of wood, fit to metal, finish and workmanship ?
Trigger
SX100 has the best trigger ever for an Indian air rifle...even has a safety.....
Do I really need to say anything at all about the IHPs, 1920 vintage, direct sear trigger ????
Accuracy
five shot one hole groups in both calibers....Need one say anything more ?
Rail for Peep Sight or Scope
CNC machined on the SX100, which is a great boon for 10mtr competion and FT target shooters....non existant on the IHP
Need for tune
SX100 Shoots smooth out of the box. Does not need any tuning....If you have ever shot a 12 ft lb TX200 (I have) You will know about the experience
IHP needs tune to many components and is still found lacking post tune, especially the trigger ....

which has been fully tuned by me ... At 30ft it gives me 1/2" groups with 14gr pellets - with open sights - hand held, knee rested.

PS: IHP needs tuning - Precihole's ARs come TUNED

I would like to see detailed info about accuracy of the ORION from a guru like you.
According to some poster the Orion .22 is getting 2-3cm groups with imported ammo and shooting all over target with Indian ammo. If this is actually the fault of the firearm I can't justify shelling out 10k bucks for a gun that shoots like the IHP one, maybe a little bit better. I am planning to get into 10 meter air rifle shooting and getting a good gun is important to succeed into this field as far as I know.

Hi loner
You have not read my post carefully
One hole groups for both .177 & .22 when JSB pellets are used no doubt about the accuracy for both caliber
& Grouping result of ORION with Indian made pellets
.22 results
Diana shot round head ---- it was hitting allover the target paper ---640 fps
Master Shot round head export quality--- 3 to 3.5 cm ---------------- 645 fps
I have checked tuned IHP .22 with Indian pellets lots of variation in velocity & grouping.
My .177 IHP is much better. It’s only because Indian made .177 pellets are much better then .22
