Is It Not Compulsory To Mention Serial No. in Invoice?

Dear friends,
I had bought an IHP air rifle .22 cal from Aimco a couple of months back. The rifle is OK and it has a serial No. as well. But Aimco has not mentioned the serial no. in the hand-written invoice.
Recently, I read somewhere in this forum that Aimco normally mentions serial no. in the invoice.
Now I am worried a bit. Suppose some govt. authority questions me about my rifle while I carry it to somewhere, I will have to show the Invoice. But the authority may not accept the invoice as belonging to my rifle, since it does not have the serial no. written on invoice, although there exists the serial no. my air rifle.
Senior members, kindly throw some light on this matter. Is my worry genuine? Shall I ask Aimco to re-issue me an amended invoice mentioning the serial no. of the air rifle on invoice?
Regards,
Abbas

Dear AbbasRiz,
Technically the details of product should be nentioned in the Invoice,
as it is a bonafide transaction.
Hope Aimco will take note of this surely.

Thanks dear Basu. I expected responses from more members.
But I can understand. Aimco and Mr. Biswas have a good track record and possess a cult figure here at this forum. Even if he is wrong, nobody can dare open their mouth against Aimco.

Abbas
