Hi Archer,
from what I am aware of,there are 2 dealers in singapore.Hock-ann sports on beach road and Chai-watt in the Golden mile complex-which is not too far from Hock-Ann sports. You will have to do a google search on the tel.nos.Bob is the owner of Hock-Ann,extremely helpfull chap. You will have to obtain a poilce permit for the airguns to be transported to the airport and loaded on the flight. The dealer takes care of the same for a fee,and he will do all the needful including transporting the airgun and handing over to airline personel.Singapore airlines does not permit any kind of airgun/firearm even in check baggage. You will have to check with Jetairways on their rules.Only Air-India permits carriage of the above.
Hope I have scratched the surface on the info.u need.
Take Care//

Jet airways does not have a problem carrying airguns in checked-in baggage, at least in India. My friend recently brought in one from US for me. On the domestic leg, he was booked in Jet airways. All they did was made him fill a couple of forms and he says they were immensely helpful.

i agree, and add that jet airways does not have any issues with airguns as checked in baggage in their international flights too. i have dealt with them personally and they are a nice , friendly, eager to help bunch.

Any views about how Indian Airlines reacts to carriage of air guns from Singapore to Delhi ???
AND
R the prices of HW 77/80/90 or Diana 35 etc. comparable with Dubai prices in Singapore ????

Hi Anupam,
I have not dealt with IC to comment on their handling of air guns.
The prices in Singapore tend to marginally higher than Dubai. This is mainly due to the costs involved in obtaining a permit from the police and handling charges
of the dealer to put the same onboard the aircraft.
Take care..

Thanks for the reply, Hunter...
I am travelling to Singapore and will surely visit the shops u mentioned...
Lets see if i can successfully bring an air rifle from there... provided Indian Airlines is happy to carry it...
Actually I think it was a mistake to book my return from Singapore,,, Bangkok would have been better !!

hey hunter....
couple of things...
1. i called singapore airlines bbay airport office...they were like..its not a major issue to carry an air pistol in check in baggage...provided they fit the baggage specs...so do u have any personal experience with them
2. i checked for their website on google....n the search seems to suggest that it is a shop that stocks fisshing gear and not arms...so just wanted to confirm the name once again....its 'hock ann sports , kampong glam conservation area, 259 beach road 199540.
thanx

Hi Archer,
My dad had a problem bringing in a hw77 from Singapore when he travelled with them 6 months ago. They advised him that they do not carry any form of airgun/firearm.
Hock Ann sports carries all types of firearms.
Hope this is helpful.

my dad was unable to buy a an airgun in singapore, the info that he was given was that it is illegal to carry an airgun in singapore. so i wasnt lucky enough.
he checked both hock ann and chai watt....n this is wat he was told...so those who r planning to buy an airgun from singapore pls keep this in mind and try...
on the other hand does anyone know any dealer in bangkok who sells airguns. specifically a HW 45. are there any limitations on thai airways? any personal experiences anone?
