For air-gun enthusiasts there is some good new's.I got a chance to see a new air rifle being designed. It has a black polymer stock and is said to be very accurate.Has a two stage trigger, velocity approx 800 fps .The air rifle can be used by left hand and right hand shooter's.the pistol grip has a palm swell. The person behind the design is a genius and some members know him well.I believe it will be in the market in about a months time.I am sure there will be a PCP variant as well ,hopefully within a year's time.

Does anybody has an idea about Indian air rifles, Jungle Hunter and Safari?

They seem to have a strong built and good accuracy.

I may not be in a position to inform you about the pricing(can say it will be well within 10k),However it is a break barrel action and in future can be modified to gas ram piston. It has an auto lock mechanism which can be converted to manual, the barrels are produced in India, the rifling buttons and reamers are imported. The look and feel of the rifle is good, has a raised cheek pad for both left and right hand shooters.Velocity will be around 800 fps as tested on a chrono. The Rifle should shoot better(accuracy) than most Indian made air rifles and at par with foreign made ones.I am planning to buy it ,so when I try it out I will be in a better position to provide a more in depth review. After speaking to the Gentleman found him to have immense knowledge about firearms and air guns,He is also a Renowned shot. The Air rifle is designed after carefully studying various European made air-guns.

Hi Guys,
> I am one of the few chosen ones to have been personally invited by the creator of the NEW Air Rifle to assess and test them. The condition of this invitation was to maintain an element of secrecy till it is cleared by the Police / Forensic departments for commercial sale. This happened a couple of months ago and am in regular touch with the concerned gentleman.
> Designing and manufacturing an Air Rifle to international standards is no child's play. It calls for high precision engineering / quality control / assembling / testing etc. etc.
> In my considered opinion the prototypes I tested are very good - however minor changes are required before it enters the market.
> THE SALIENT FEATURES ARE:
1.The ARs are well balanced
2. Good ergonomics interms of...
a) Length of pull
b) Curvature of pistol grip to suit most Indian palm size
c) Height of comb to match the line of sight
d) Injection moulded synthetic stock with checkering in the fore-end & pistol grip (Dupont material - imported)
e) Ambidextrous hold
f) Angled fasteners to reduce direct impact of recoil
g) 2 stage trigger with automatic safety
h) Caliberated rear sight with adjustable clicks (all metal)
i) Removable moulded front sight with tru-glow blade
j) Receiver machined to 11mm width to facilitate scope mounting
k) Aero-dynamically designed piston for easy mounting of seal
l) High quality barrel - precision rifling
> The prototypes in 0.177 & 0.22 cal tested by me were:
1. Springer - Break Barrel
2. Break Barrel - Nitro Piston
3. PCP
> The chrono testing showed an average of 700 to 750 fps with 14gr Mastershot pellets with an accuracy of 1/4" groups at 10 metres - Position "Hand Held".
> When this AR hits the market - It would be the best available since "No Tuning" would be necessary!!!!
> The Price is yet to decided - but a guesstimate is under Rs.10,000/=
> Dear IFGians please hold your horses - It's Happening - remember the saying.........
"The urgent we do today - The impossible takes a little Longer"
Cheers
