Indians For Guns

Hi friends,

I want to buy a sirpistol which ranges up to 30meters and cost I can afford is 5000/-.
I searched in google and got a name 'Blanca'. Please suggest me a good and perfect airpistol ( NOT AIRGUN) within my budget.

Blance is useless. There are very few air pistols that can shoot well up to 30 meters, at least none of the Indian ones will. Your best bet would be to import a Crossman 1377 pump pistol.

i found one in a store in kerala
1500rs or so
.17 pellets
the box calls it Eagles' mark iv...but the pic on the cover is very different from the gun...so i doubt if its really mark iv

I can suggest good and perfect air pistols which can shoot well at 30m.
But none are in your budget

as the others have pointed out 5k is not going to get you anything, get realistic please and blanca is noting but trash and useless for what you wanted for. check put the yellow pages of the forum for dealers near you and check around to get the more realistic cost. if you can find anything that is.

i have commander air pistol in .22
it can able to hit the coconut tree above 30 m
but it only hits the target in 8 m with nice grouping

Buy a pistol that can shoot upto 10 mtrs.Fit a scope on it and it will be able to reach out to objects at 30 mtrs.This is effect is known as the 'sniper pistol syndrome'

well i have been using 3x14x50 spotting scope on my air pistol and i can reach up to 150 each time, not bed eh

30m range for a commander of .22 cal seems a bit unrealistic (as you are also shooting against gravity) - but if it really does so, very good. IHP .177 (which is as rare as that 30m coconut tree shot) is tough to get. IHP .22 shoots and groups at 10m and lands around 15m (range). Now both of these are among the better ones under INR 5K. Now what is your objective ? If it's just plinking the coconut tree then what you have should suffice. A bit more power with accuracy then 1377 ought to do just fine. You can also start practicing for competitive shooting with this one. Additional accessory can also translate it into an airgun ! So in effect it's 2-in-1. Costs under USD 60 in the US. If you plan to enter in competitive shooting go for better ones i.e. PCP. Indian PCP AP from IHP costs around INR 20K or so. That ought to be fine and in fact can shoot 30m albeit accuracy might go for toss. BTW, in case you live in apartment style locality shooting at trees may not be a good idea as that pellet can ricochet. Plus you are lead poisoning some poor tree. I actually see two trees in a row - the last time a "Ram" shot; he shot an arrow through seven trees. Just joking

If your current AP can do it why go for another ? Unless the target tree is closer to 30' (~10m?) ? What good stuff can be seen from this pix is you seem to have ample open space. Be sure to keep a backdrop in case someone happens to loiter at the back of some tree unawares. An iron sheet (like the one used to weld water tanks) should do fine with the rule - "No walking in the front when I am shooting from the back." - firmly implemented. Anyway start thinking about a PCP; pump action like 1377 or power plant compressed air cylinder. Wish we Mumbaikars we could have some space like that ! Good Luck and enjoy.
