THIS IS THE BADDEST HISTORY OF AN INDIAN PRODUCT IHP
Hi all,
Today there was a intra club Competition in my club NCRC, Kolkata, For that I pumped my pistol by a capapie local made pump from one of my friend. Competition started I shot 45 pellets max including all, after that after that last pellets drops down, I saw no air in my pistol, I tried to pump it by a imported pump but sorry to say that I am not able to pump it because all air comes out through the pellets barrel. Some of my friend said some washer is gone(He is a good gunsmith) . My competition was gone. From the very beginning today pellets are going scattered then I thought Something is happening. I give it to my gunsmith friend to repair it. Because Sending to company and return back Kolkata - Ahmadabad - kolkata. its a great ....... THIS IS THE GREAT HISTORY OF AN GREAT INDIAN PRODUCT OF IHP .177 COMPRESSED AIR PISTOL
Every body told to don't buy , I request every body don't buy. I am totally shocked that's why I cant explain it properly.
I received it 17.03.2012

Yours worked, mine was dammaged right out of box and the company (I think it was Mr. Mehta) did not do anything to help me. Yours is getting repared, I do not have anyone to repare it as no gun smith in delhi wants to open it.

Sorry to hear that man. I guess like all the Indian arm manufacturer they don't have the skill to produce something new. They can just copy other guns.
When I'll get to shoot a gun?

Sorry to hear about that Prasenjit. I am coming to club on next sunday, bring your piece. I want to take a look at it personally. If you dont want to pay much for a Steyr then fixing the sealing prob could be a option. Otherwise for steyr you know whom to contact.

Re: THIS IS THE BADDEST HISTORY OF AN INDIAN PRODUCT IHP
Dear prasen123, We are really lucky to have people like FF2003 and Dr. Shirsat who help us out. I purchased my IHP N25 last year from H&H via my club last July and upon 'removing' the butt plate discovered that the stock of the new AR was chipped and fixed with glue and a metal joinder. I contacted Mr. Makhija in August but the IHP Vatva plant was closed due to DHC stunts. Last Saturday eve, I was advised by Brihcharanji to write to Shri. Makhija again; which I did yesterday. So hoping to get some positive response. All I can do now is wait.
======================= EDITED April 10, 2012 ~Noon ===============================
Spoke with Mr. Makhija just now and he's assured me that there should be no problem with the glue + joinder and that he shall replace my stock should it break. So the case rests (till the stock breaks, if at all). Was quoted INR11-12K for CO2 AP. IHP site does not say anything about PCP AP. Wonder if it's still on?

I am also facing problems with my IHP 25. The barrel was bent from the very begining as I did not check the same before buying in good faith.... The IHP Guys are asking me to send the gun to them and they will repair it for me. when i enquired the courier charges, i got a figure of 700 bucks.... thats what a locak gunsmith is charging. dont know what to do... MY PERSONAL ADVISE TO ALL WHO ARE PLANNING TO BUY AN AIR GUN - THINK TWICE BEFORE BUYING AN IHP.....

Barrel is bent in which direction upward or downward ? You are probably referring to barrel droop. Which according to my American Guru is quite common
http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2006/01/ ... droop.html
I have seen Diana's and even Weihruach with barrel droop even the fixed barrel ones like underlever and side lever. So please don't blame IHP.
Another possible reason for the curve is, have you or anyone else fired the IHP without closing the barrel shut ? That kind of barrel curve is different and can be corrected as given below......

Do let me know so we can help you.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

My experience with the IHP 35 was good. It was nice to plink with and also did good on varmits. I had dealt with M.makhija when I broke the stock, he VPPed a new stock across. At its price the IHP compressed air pistol is unbeatable, since anything else costs 5X times as much. A simple valve, seal repair is all that it takes to get it working. Maybe I sound like a fan but it is one of the few companies which is willing to get into this troubled sector and I would like to cheer every step they take in the right direction.
