PLEASE HELP !! Airgun won't fire

Hi Guys,
I just bought two days back an Amy95 airrifle from Aimco, Calcutta. Since yesterday nite, it is not firing pellets. I had fired maybe a dozen pellets and this happened. It remains stuck in its slot. I break the barrel just fine and the impact is also the same on squeezing the trigger... I oiled, cleaned the barrel, etc... but no use. After squeezing off the shot, when I open the barrel, all around the hole where I fix the pellet, there is residue (probably rubber)
Hey, I checked by dipping the muzzle in bucket of water, putting a pellet in and firing... there are no bubbles, so the air is not expelled through the muzzle. I then submerged the gun till trigger and tried to fire a pellet... still no bubbles... so there is no air escaping till that level... has the spring cylinder gone bad ?
Word of advice, don't buy Aimco... the day i recd, packaging is good... but the rivet just below the barrel on which it swings when I pump it before the shot was not fixed in place and moves out. I have to hold it in place before pumping the barrel or firing the shot. Looks good but typical cheapskate local goods... looks great but no excellence in the products.
Living in Mumbai, sending it back and paying for courier both ways and also octroi will cost me about Rs.1800/- so, cannot do that...
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Naren
