Can Identify this model ?

Post by Rijo Joseph » Thu Dec 22, 2011 11:19 am

Dear Friends, I have come across a strange looking airgun, no make or model is engraved on it and the wooden stock is screwed into the rear end of the cylinder, One claimed that this is one of the oldest model made by Diana ! :o

Some more detailed pictures would be nice. If it is a Diana they would have the name engraved on it, but a close up of the trigger guard and where the barrel breaks should be helpful. It is an interesting gun nonetheless.

Both diana and bsa older models had this look. but as Mark points both models would have their respective logos on them.

i would put my money on an early model bsa.

Hi Rijo,
> Reminded me of a very similar model & look alike owned by an schoolmate of mine.
> We used to plink clay pots in the backyard of his cottage - very easy to cock & smooth to shoot.
> Apart from putting a few drops of 'Sewing Machine Oil' on the spring once in a way - there was no other maintenance done to it.
> Ofcourse the 'Diana Symbol & Name' was engraved on the receiver end.
> BTW does it belong to your friend / have you fired it? Just interested to know!
> Merry Christmas.

Its a model based on the old Diana Model 27 (you see it in Diana Logo where the lady is holding it)....there were many copies and clones made......

> Moly grease are available in different viscosities - You may use the least viscous type.
> Even then it'll be difficult to draw it in the syringe with the needle on - remove the needle (use a 15ml or 20ml syringe as these have a larger nozzle.
> Suggest you keep the container of moly in hot water to loosen it up - apply small quantities - dry cock the gun while keeping the trigger pressed a few times allowing the moly to spread evenly.
> Good Luck.

This is almost rusted outside and couldn't find any encryption of the brand and I didn't took other snaps for detailed study,

@Briha, I test fired few shots and found it accurate and with minimal vibrations. :)

@fantumfan2003 , you are correct I goggled it and found the same model with Diana, but this model seams a clone.
