High pressure PCPs maybe? Why would you need to shoot at 200 meters?

Again, why would you want to shoot a .22 lr at 200 meters? I've been shooting the .22lr for the past 30 years and can vouch for the fact that its extremely difficult to shoot accurately with open iron sights at that range of 200 meters. The ideal yardage for me is 65-110 yards with the .22lr. Mainly because the light bullets fall prey to wind deviation in their flight path at those ranges. Moreover, with an airgun, where the pellet will be lighter than the .22lr bullet, the deviation will be greater.

What you are asking Jignesh, is a hypothetical scenario in my opinion.

The two are pretty much different.

Jignesh,

Please remember we cannot learn unless we ask. Therefore, you ask and I shall try to explain.

First, an air gun and a rifle, as in a firearm, are 2 very different articles. Both their projectiles( pellet/ bullet) behave very differently when they leave the muzzle of their respective machines.

Secondly, the application of both the air gun and rifle is pretty much different, although people tend to blur this line quite frequently.

Lastly, despite the above two arguments, under no circumstances should you take the air gun casually. It can be equally devastating. The key to using airguns is not range, but shot placement and penetration.
