I agree with Rammani. A detailed post shall help a lot. There are many IHP users who might be helped. There are similar threads here on IFG however one more experience wont hurt.

Dear All,

Thanks everyone with ur valuable replies before tuning my ihp was giving me 460 to 520 fps of velocity as per th different weights of pellets are concern. But now after tuning i got 787 to 810fps and the accuracy is outstanding.
All jim maccari stuffs are still available here in mumbai.whatever make of airgun it is the springs and piston seals are available.along with greases & tars.(Low Vibration less cocking effort no cocking noise of the spring)

I use Diana shot 12 grain & Gamo promagnum 15 grain pellets in my IHP superb performance with low cocking effort
of only 40 lbs.The scope installed is Tasco 3-9x-32 illuminated ractical. Also an indian make led torch & laser mounts with laser. All tuning has been done by me itself The spring installed in my IHP is XLR-2 this spring is designed by jim maccari for HW-80 it has 30 coils & the thickness of wire of the spring is 4.5mm.And Large seal(synthetic Also jim make)

Guys it really worth installing jim maccari tuning kit in IHP those who want power go for it.If you guys need any jim maccari kits i can give you the cell no of the person who deals with jim maccari tune kits he is sole importer of jim maccari kits.Pls pm me your contact no for jim maccari kits.

thanks

Unni,

Your scope seems to be aligned to the left of the barrel! Moreover the rings are too high. It is likely that your air gun would not be giving you the desired accuracy. Any parallax problems?

How in the world can a HW80 spring fit into an IHP 35? Have you compared the size (diameter/ length) of the HW80 compression tube with that of the IHP 35?

That said, good job on your air-rifle and the difference in performance you have mentioned is truly amazing; maybe too amazing...

Cheers!

I wonder what a macari may do to my Diana350 Magnum it may then make a .22 lr ashamed of its velocities. What say abhijeet. I should the get 1300 fps atleast. It may qualify as a small game rifle...

Dear All,

Yes the performance is very good of my airgun as there are 97 types of different springs of jim maccari with different size, different no. of coils, different thickness of the wire of the spring etc.As far as the Diana350 mag. is concern the no.of coils of the spring are 36 & the thickness of wire of the same is 4.6mm as i know this calculation coz i too have a diana350 mag.in .22cal & have personally seen the entire tune kit of diana 350mag.The kit contains,
(Spring,Piston seal,Spring guide,Top hat,O ring,4 types of different tars & greases.Had enquired about the cost is 10k.

thanks

Dear Unni,

Jim maccari kit normally is not able to deliver 20 fpe for a super magnum gun such as R1/hw80.

I would be curious to know how the same Jim Maccari kit is giving more power in IHP which is way less powerful than an R1.

You sure you are not misleading us?

Unni's claims of "pre-post" fps are fairly in tune with another post covering the same makeover saga posted last year by one ketan82. Though I am not an expert, I do not see why similar results could not be achieved by using the similar source (JM) materials. Link pasted below for reference.

http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php ... HP#p112412

Unni, since you are based in the Mumbai region, it would be a delight to watch your gun in action one of the days. How does the grouping work out with higher fps ? BTW, did your IHP come with leather washer or a synthetic one (since it is at least 5 years old) ? If former, did you also get the adapter from JM for the synthetic ? Keep basic safety tips in mind, more so since you live in over-populated region (Mumbai) and keep in mind that you do not usually point at anything living, much less shoot at it/ him/ her. :-) Anyway, as long as you are happy with your gun, have a safe and wonderful shooting experience.
