Indians For Guns

Dear fellow IFGians,
I have been studying airguns on this forum and attempting to digest humungous information on this forum.
I want to thank all IFGians for the information provided here.
Today I bought an air-rifle and an air-pistol and wish to share the photographs of the former in this post.
Air-rifle Description:
Model and make: Power Sport Air Rifle, Kolkata, Mod 65
Type: spring-piston, break barrel
Ammo: 0.22 cal
Weight : 4 kgs approx
Price: Rs.3100/-
Since I am a complete novice , I really cannot comment on the performance of the air-rifle.
If someone could describe tests in a compact and orderly manner , I would be grateful (May have missed in the search, if so then I am sorry)
I shall promptly conduct the tests and post the report.

The gun looks exceptionally well. Better than than Canon 35. The cheek piece looks particularly nice. Chequering also looks cool.

Nice to see that the gun comes with a peep sight and muzzle brake (?).

Overall, look wise this gun outsmarts many of its Indian brothers.

Any way to mount a scope on this rifle ?
And if possible any appropriate place to buy 1 in and around Pune ?

I bought this gun in Mangalore. Couldnt test this gun as I work in Bangalore and had to come back the same day I bought it but managed to fire a couple of shots.
Cocking effort was hard compared to my old Webley, trigger was soft, But seemed to be powerful.
This muzzle brake and the stock makes this gun a absolute beauty.
Cannot comment on the accuracy as it has not been fired much. I will try to test when I am back home

As usual , I have some queries

1) What is the length of the barrel and is it rifled ?
2) What sort of barrel locking mechanism does the rifle have ? Chisel or Ball catch ?
3) What sort of provisions are provided for mounting a scope on it ?

Do post another report after putting approximately 1000 pellets through the barrel , that's when the gun has been properly broken in . We can do a comparison then .

Nice looker, she is! The chequering, peep sight and the overall shape make it a joy to behold.

For the Mumbaikars who might be interested, I saw the same thing at M Saleh's in Mumbai, about 3 weekends back. Only hitch in the looks department is the very large branding / logo on the sides of the stock. Nothing a bit of elbow grease on the stock will not take care of!

Does Air gun barrels comes with rifling ?

Hello,
On vacation in mangalore and just got a chance to check this rifle.
Barrel length: 19.5 inches.
Barrel is rifled and has a chisel locking mechanism.
Got about 200 shots today through the barrel and zeroed it to 15 meters and accuracy is okay. I had to use Target brand .22 pellets which are of low quality as the GSmith high split dont fit
