Both. the barrel is smooth bore metal, the gear, mag is metal. †he butt tube is metal but the butt itself is hard PVC. infact very few parts are plastic. in house practice after a few settings was good. approx 2000 shots per charge.

Bought this in Hong kong from a shop called Destrinity. they have their web site too. There are 4 to 5 shops in mongkok including destrinity.
