Arjun,
I can understand your reason. But the co2 guns are costly. Even if you get it imported it costs at least double you quoted. For Rs. 8k, you get nothing here in c02 guns.

'Air pistol with cartridge' ? Do you mean CO2 cartridges? Anyway, for the cash that you want to pay, I doubt you'll get anything worth while.

Why you need a gun for PLAY that shoot actual pellets
since you have mentioned air pistol and not revolver for a Russian Roulet type scene I guess you are not looking for a perticular model. A simple Plastic AIRSOFT pistol will serve your purpose. and that will come within budget. If you are looking for a prop pistol aka starter pistol that sounds bang too , you have to rise your budget about 5 times or more .

An air pistol cost about $50 in the USA. But shipping may vary from 50 to a 100 Dollars. So you can buy a decent one yourself via the internet. But insure that you have a rifle club membership, so you should have everything within 8-9 thousand.

Please give a clear answer, this reference to Russian roulette and all is needless and irresponsible. If he wants an air pistol why recommend an air soft pistol?

NO ITS NOT .
1. This guy did not post any intro , so from my side there is no way to know if he is at all having any gun handling experience or not, rather the way he post , if you read carefully , he did not mentioned any caliber, used the term "Cartridge" instead of Pellets giving me the impression that he is novice when it comes to handling gun and knowing the gun seafty rules.
2. He mentioned he needs an Air Pistol for his Acting Play, and NOT for Plinking or Target shooting, How you justify the risk involved recommending him an Air Pistol on stage when you are assuming he is novice. Air Pistol can cause serious injury to others if he loaded it with Pellets. If its just the purpose to imititate a real gun , A Plastic Air Soft or a Cap Gun would be wise choice specially when you dont know , if the person holding the gun, is at all comfortable handling them or not.
3. He did not mentioned the scene he is going to play, in some scene you cannot just use Pistol and need to go for a revolver, depending on the situation, Since he did not mentioned any I assume a Pistol will do his job, Russian Roulet is just an example of scene where you cant use a Pistol. Though I doubt whether this gentleman knows the difference between a revolver or pistol or not.
4. After reading his post ,what I feel is this guy is actually looking for a Blank Firing Replica, and he is reffering it as Air Pistol and Cartridge, I may be wrong but this is what I feel. No offense to anyone
