Sorry Vmanicks and aarya for using your pics as reference with out informing you.

What actually is the difference between these above stocks?? Dont say colur :) The diana stock is polished as we do wooden furniture. But what is done to the gamo cfx to make it look like that. I'm sure its not bluing and it doesnt look like paint too. Just curious to know what is done in the case of gamo..

I hope some one clarifies my doubt..

I'm no expert on this but I guess the Gamo stock is not wood, it's fibre I guess.

The Gamo stock is a synthetic stock. It is supposed to look like that.
Being that it is a synthetic stock, you are not going to be able to make it resemble the wooden Diana stock no matter how hard you try.

It is a material called Tenite. a form of bakelite. It is used for field guns or long guns that are always in your hand. In USA , these material stocks were a practical solution for far off cattle stations and ranches who need a practical indestructible or all weather stock .My friend has a Stevens made in the 20's, fitted with this stock material.
