Hello All,

I am looking to buy my first Air Rifle and after going through many posts on IFG, I zeroed in on 0.177 National 35 by IHP. I then called IHP Vatva to find out about the piece and though N-35 is available and N-25 is out of stock, the guy on phone diverted me to National 25 instead of National 35.
He could not give me a very solid reason for that, but he said N-25 is competition level rifle and more people buy N-25 over N-35.

I would like to take the views about these two rifles from experts on IFG. The price difference is just Rs 100-200.
Is the 15 day wait worth for N-25?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Oh Baby,
The very first question is why do you want a gun for ? If for target shooting then Model 25 with Calliber .177 is allowed. If for bird hunting then Model 35 is useful at some extent because IHP has a very weak spring as the gun is meant only for ten meters target shooting. Model 35 with Calliber .177 has obviously better muzzle velocity than Model 35 with Calliber .22 because it throws lighter pellet than the later. But basically IHP belongs to the Indian Government and so they are very quacious about the velocity of the air guns. (Please note that an air gun with a velocity more than 1100 fps needs a liscence.)
Conclusion is go for Model 35 with Calliber .177 ... use it upto the tip of your desire and then replace the spring and piston by a diana spring and taflon piston.... that's all !!!!
