Hi Friends,

please let me know a best scope for this rifle... it has scope rail and I dont know which scope will fit in it .. let me know the scope availability in india and anyone sells here.

Are you sure you want to scope this air-rifle? Considering what people are charging here for scopes, you'll end up spending several times the value of the air-rifle... that said, from the looks of it standard size 11mm mounts should work on the rail. What looks worrisome is the complete absence of any provision to drop in a scope stop, which will almost certainly lead to the mounts drifting back over time and as a result you will have a constantly "shifting zero". One way to fix this without any modifications could be to drop the scope stop in front of the rail, though that could possibly mean too much eye relief (depends on your scope's specs). Alternately you could carefully drill a hole into the rail for the stop, the position of this hole would be based on the eye relief of the scope you pick.

Since it is a springer, a non-springer rated scope will probably not survive on it for too long (I should know as I've destroyed one scope by disregarding this basic fact ). If you can get someone to bring one over for you, try and get an entry level BSA 4x32 AO adjustable springer rated airgun scope. It should cost around USD $35 or thereabouts and comes with screw on lens caps - got one for my cousin recently and he's quite happy with it. You will need to buy the mounts separately.

If you have more money to spend you could try the Nikko Sterling Airking range of scopes, decent glass, airgun rated and I believe they are supplied along with one piece mounts.

Hello indiageez, Were did Purchase your SDB .22 and what was the price in chennai? What is the effective range and the performance of the rifle...awaiting your kind reply

SDB air rifles are available in Anna city armoury (behind Ripon buildings). Price is around Rs 4,500 I guess.

Helli Ebenezar, thanx for the info. Any idea about the performance of the Rifle? Anna city armoury claims it to be far better than IHP 35 .22. What wud b ur advice for me? IHP or SDB

IHP any day. But don't buy from any dealer in the South. Order it from Aimco or if possible from the factory itself.

can i buy the ihp 35 .22 with peep sight for 8500rs

No way! Its 4250 rs at aimco.They are out of stock now but will receive the rifle in nov. 1st week.Add 200+600rs for pakaging and freight through Gati.

Try contacting Mr. Biswas at aimco.co.in. The price may vary marginally but not by much. Forget Rs. 8500, you will get it for a lot less.
