Try contacting Sid Kapur, he tried it... IIRC there was some complication which led him to abandon the plan...

Cheers!

To which country you want to export the Indian air guns and what quantities and of which make would these air guns be.

Let me know the details via PM.

Dear Sharmaji

Nice to see you on the forum.

No buyer is willing to import airguns from India due to poor finish and low quality and no new technology used.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

The problem with exporting to the USA is that in many places are guns are treated as firearms. So you need the right permits etc. Secondly, our air rifles will need lot of modifications, anti-bear trap device, safety etc. Thirdly, they have to be priced somewhere near dirt so that an air rifle tuner can buy a caseful, improve and tune them and then make a little profit.
That is what the problem is, we just can't compete against China when it comes to making really cheap rip offs.

Even Turkish ones for that matter... IIRC a couple of years back Kral ( http://www.kralav.com/ ) was ready to offer their spring piston airguns for US$38 to 50 (depending on models) or thereabouts for orders of above 5 pieces. Though nothing special they (the Kral airguns) definitely looked to be much better made & finished as compared to any of the Indian makes...
