Hello IFG'ians:
First things first- I'd like to thank each and everyone here for sharing their air gun import experiences. I have got to know SO MUCH, have learnt about the import procedures, regulations, and dealing with those babu's in white. I have gotten the rifle club membership, as it's a MUST thing to have for the import. Also, the club president's going to give me the letter that I am the bona fide member of their club, and I will need a good BB gun for practicing. (I hope that wold help). One of my dad's friends' is a custom officer. Will his reference work? Just asking. Haven't spoke to him yet- let's see what does he say.
I have decided to order KJ Works M9 full metal gas BB airsoft for practicing. it shoots plastic BBs at 390 FPS. Anyway, please wish me luck guys. Do I still have to carry the copies of all the notifications in this case? Because it doesnt shoot pallets, and neither it's 0.177 ca thing. Pls shed some light on this. Thanks.
Best regards,
Saif

Thanks for posting the link, Thomas.
Confusion hi confusion hai, bhaiyya! As per what people have discussed here-
http://indiansforguns.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5584
TenX says we don't need to have a club membership to import replica gas BB airsoft guns. It would come to us without any customs' hassles if we ask the shipper to invoice it as a "toy gun". Kya karu? I am so confused now. Where are the experts? Haalp me pls!
Best regards,
Saif

instead of discussing it here, visit the commissioner of customs FPO with proper letter stating your query because he is the only one can answer with 100% confidence
it wil saves lot of time and mental patience

Thanks, Striker for the prompt revert. Had posted this query 6 months back.
Bought 3 guns in last 6 months- without any letter or a club membership.
Thanks,
Saif

"3 guns in 6 months .........."
What was the way for importing these guns, whether someone got them for you or you ordered them from some website. I'm trying to get an airsoft replica model of Barrett M9 in full metal body and gas blowback feature.
Please share your overall experience and little guidance for me to import the above mentioned model.
Thanks,
Amit
