Hello everyone,
Here it goes..Ive had it with my old pioneer air rifle, its worthless now, no accuracy, no power, broken stock....etc etc. Its like 30 years old. So ive been searching the whole forum for like 2 days to find an ideal gun but no luck, some gun is good with something and some other is good with somethin else. I even went to 2-4 gun dealers in Ludhiana and found the much liked manufacturers like ihp etc, along with some unknown ones(though their guns are attractive). I have a budget of around Rs3000-4000. What i look for in a rifle is power, accuracy, range and durability. The finish is least of my priorities. I would be mounting a good scope on it in near future if it could do better with one, so a scope rail would be delightful. i even saw the aimco model 200 that looks much like tirths cannon 65. Ive even seen the aimco model 95, quite durable and fine but didnt have and opportunity to shoot with it :( .. I know that most of you will advise me to check the older posts first but believe me, i have and they dont help in my case, I'll be waiting for a helpful reply
Thanks
King

PS- Oh and i dont know if i told you guys earlier but i had bought a gamo p800 .177 pistol, big waste of money(rs4000). The thing aint worth the money, atleast not here, maybe in UK. Has a rough recoil that craps over the accuracy....and power..ha.. least expected from a big manufacturer like gamo

All such posts that I have read point to the IHP as the popular consensus option. Bandook Bhandar supplies the same with scope rails and scopes - mounted or otherwise.

All the best with your search!

If you want an Indian air rifle then IHP is on top of the heap. You might want to check out their match air rifles if you want something really accurate. You can make and mount a scope rail in most air rifles by following what some of the guys on the forum have done.

From your disatisfaction level I am afraid only an imported HW or something else will do.

From what I can understand of your posts, it is certain that you will be satisfied with an imported air rifle from a website like Pyramyd Air. However, the problem is that even though you will get really great guns within your budget there, the shipping and delivery charges alone will shoot up the price by almost INR 6000. I recently wanted to buy the Sig Sauer P226 model that costs $29.00. However, after finalizing all the details, the total price came $110.00!!!! The shipping and delivery charges alone was nearly $80.00
And even if you can extend your budget, then there is the problem of customs.... However, for Indian make, I would suggest you to go for the Aimco or Cannon models. I have used models of both Aimco and Cannon(even though I don't own them!!) and I am really satisfied. I am planning to buy one soon. An trust me dude, there are enough articles in this forum to answer all your questions. Just make sure you enter the proper term while searching.

ah well i respect ihp guns, especially the model 35 because its a tried, tested and liked gun but, what about its power and range, i dont think it might be powerful enough....I know that only an imported gun can make me happy but i even have to see whats the best my country can offer. As for importing, its not a big issue because after some time im going to the USA to pursue my engineering course (im a bright chap!!). There i might buy the rws magnum 350 , benjamin super streak, benjamin trail np, or walther talon hunter. But until then im on my pc searching some posts to actually know what i am looking for. :)
