Hi Tiwariaarrun, correct me if I interpreted it wrong. You are saying that I can order a PCP/CO2 pistol and also ask the supplier to mention "muzzle loading firearm" on the invoice and packaging. But won't the customs cross-check it?

Sir ,
I understand someone wanting to make a profit , but a profit of 200 percent , over and above (Price + duty ) is totally unjustified and i strongly urge fellow IFGians to stop encouraging these ripoffs by buying from them. If there is anything we should do then it is to form a watchdog group to keep an eye on the ripoff customs officials , maybe even report names of officials who are habitual bribe takers and report them to the group so required action can be taken by use of RTI and other tools .

Yea! Overpriced imported airguns are crazy expensive!!!
I contacted a guy here in Delhi, who owns a shop selling personal defense equipment like tazers etc. and he had a 0.17 cal co2 pistol amongst other things.
I looked that up and it cost like $45 on Amazon.com and he was selling it here for INR 35,000/-!!!!!!
I was like WTH! For 35k you can bring in a proper 0.177cal air rifle via personal baggage!

On the Way back to India i went out to Dubai. i found one gun shop so i bought Walther domintor .22. At the Hyderabad Airport custom officer asked me couple of question and they cleared me. Price of the airgun was around 35 k but here i saw people are asking up to 1 lakh rs for it. which truly unfair.

Rahul i want to know where you live because i think TNT delivers in big cities onlyrahul567 wrote:As mentioned by dev the duty comes to 35% on CIF(cost+freight+insurance). In my case the freight was included twice so i ended up payin 11k as duty. though i can claim it back but the process is far to tedious and time consuming.
dus anyone know where i can get imported pellets in delhi. bought some flat heads from rajiv sharma.

Re: Airgun import experiences - via post/ courier route
Hi!
Has anybody recently imported an .177 air gun or air pistol via DHL or Fedex?
I have already bought the gun and pistol and they are lying in Istanbul.
I need reference AWB numbers to prove to DHL or Fedex in Istanbul that the import is permissible etc.
I have already provided the DGFT notifications but we are still going around in circles.
I would appreciate any help and guidance.
Thanks in advance.
