Hi Mack The Knife
It was the penny foolish thing I have done as I didnt have a budget for an expensive scope,
and I dont use it as much as needed, so it serve my purpose till the whatever whatever falls off.
the main thing is as far as I was concerned I got a good deal with the mount , if you have checked it at www.hawkeoptics.comwww.hawkeoptics.com

HW 90
Re: HW 90
SIMPLY REDUCE THE POWER BY TAPPING OUT SOME AIR THROUGH THE PORT AT THE REAR OF THE AIR CHAMBER. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE PISTON ETC.dev";p="21725 wrote:Okay some guys are like pigs with pearl necklaces. This guy got his paws on a HW 90 and then he makes a habit out of dry firing it as he loves the noise that it makes.![]()
Now, he asks me hey, the safety comes on after twenty or so shots...can you find out why and let me know? All that I have found out that the HW 90 has a safety reset button on the trigger guard and he may be doing so accidentally.
Tell me guys isn't there an airgun God somewhere who punishes such Cretins? I think I'll tell him that its damaged beyond repair and take it off his hands.

Dev
Pellets are behind the inaccuracy. In my experience, HW90s work well only with extra heavy pellets- Baracuda, or Bisley Magum.Mack The Knife Bana";p="23459 wrote:Dev,
I have worked on four FAC 90's to date and each and everyone of them has proved inaccurate at the powerlevels (22 to 23 ft.lbs.) they come at. Ofcourse, this could quite possibly be due to using the wrong pellet.
5 to 10 yards is no range to determine accuracy. You need to be at least 25 to 30 yards away.
If this person wants accuracy, then reducing the power to 18 or 18.5 ft.lbs. with H&N FTT is one remedy.
The 90 and 90k come with the Elite trigger unit, not the Rekord.
The one thing I like about the 90, which most probably is a common feature of all gasrams, is that they recoil back in a straight line (if allowed to do so) rather than torquing a bit to the left or right as is the case with spring-piston air-rifles.

If you are interested, I could get you one as I know of two that are for sale. Both are 90's though.

In case the reference is to the two HW90s I've put up for sale, the barrel droop is taken care of through adjustable mounts. BTW, there is a crude way of dealing with droop without the mounts as well.
About the moderator, PM me, and we will work this out.
A PCP pump can be used, assuming you have a suitable adaptor that fits into the HW90- it is easy to acquire. about 3-4 strokes through an FX/Hill pump are enough to reach full charge. To ensure correct/desired pressure, a guage is available (I have one) or a chrono can be used. The charging up can be done by anyone. Only point noteworthy is that if one is used to the HW90s cocking effort, after charging up without the pressure guage for reference, it is prudent to compare the cocking effort. If it feels too much, release some pressure before firing for chrono, else the piston may get damaged. If not used to the usual cocking effort, build up pressure from low to high, not the other way round.mundaire";p="23488 wrote:Did you have the pump device that they used to supply with the earlier models - to adjust the gasram pressure? If not, how did you adjust the gas pressure? Is it an easy enough process for someone with basic DIY skills?Mack The Knife Bana";p="23480 wrote:What I said is that a heavier pellet may improve the accuracy. Since there isn't much of a pellet selection here, I had no choice but to reduce the muzzle energy so as to get acceptable accuracy with H&N FTTs.
