I always wonder the effect of synthetic piston bearing.
Wish to know your feeling of such bearing in ARs.

Thanks Basu! I can feel the movement after trigger release is smoother, like nothing is tumbling around internally. For how long it will last with all the scraping inside is something i can't say now, especially with the scratched rear half of my receiver. Also there is zero metal-metal contact btw the piston-receiver. It shows.

Breech seal was inadequate on the DMR from a while, leaking away from much before i knew about it. It was running on stock seal from 6+years! Did something to it today, a mix of leather & precihole O-ring. It's working just well now, w/o any leaks when tested with tissue paper. The O-ring is coated with silicone grease & leather base with oil.

Thanks Balaji : )

Got a flashlight with P-mount from ebay. It's quick-detachable and should be around 300lm. It's meant for the shorty but gave it a try on the IHP.

Thanks SMJ! It came out somewhat good.

Installed a laser with P-rail on the IHP. The flashlight sits well on it if needed. Everything is metal.

Just the usual gun enthusiast here, casual plinker & a non-RA person, which by the way I'm planning to get soon. Arsenal comprises of an IHP 35 .22, a calcutta local .22 & a BB gun. Thats it, no biggies here.

Overall, I'm satisfied. Some more accessories will go in as & when they get delivered. As of now, shes in my bed & i call her DARKANGEL.

estousandy,

I really liked your project and the very well maintained Old Model Maruti 800. Please try to avoid putting your gun on the hood of the car as it may accidentally get scratched. I would also suggest that you do not try any modifications on your car it is already in the category of a classic car, or will become one in a couple of years.

Thank you : )

The Suzuki although well maintained has its share of scratches and trust me, not one of them from a gun placed on it. Just enough modifications are there to keep it running, nothing too radical. Glad to hear you like this Jap.
