The IHP is perhaps the best gun available locally (I use the word "is" since the SX – 100 is still to hit the market fulltime). However, that does not guarantee the IHP to be the best forever. The guys who have reported this rifle are people who have studied springers. Just remember, this is not some run off govt. project. Hard earnings of individuals (including their reputation) are invested in this project. I am sure Fantumfan and Brichacharan will second me in saying the brain behind this is perhaps The Authority of Springers in the country known to many simply as "Dr." :agree:

Hi Guys,
> To all those who want to know as to whether "SX 100" can be tuned, I wish to know...
1. What is the necessity to know whether it can be 'Tuned' even before you purchase / own it?
2. Given that one wants to tune it - what for?
a) To increase its velocity?
b) To increase its accuracy?
c) I don't know what else does one want to tune an AR for?
> The manufacturer has to conform to 'Forensic' rules, that an AR should conform to a maximum of 12fpe only, otherwise it cannot be sold without a licence.
> Hence the manufacturer has conformed to this statutory requirement and made the ARs to suit this mandate.
> If anyone attempts to tune it to give the AR more velocity / power, it amounts to contravening the Forensic Rules.
> In my considered opinion those who 'Tune' it to get more velocity / power will do so - at the most by changing the spring assembly (spring + rear guide + top hat + seal). Nobody is going to tamper with the piston or barrel, because there is nothing else that is to be tuned & nobody to my knowledge is competent enough to do it (except a few handfull who are capable to do it & they do it personally for themselves)
> Even world renowned (imported tuning kits) consist of only the Spring / Rear Guide / Top hat & Seal!!!!
> Please note & be advised that every aspect of "TUNING" has been taken care at the manufacturing stage itself.
> Hence I repeat "Tune" the AR at your own peril - I personally wouldn't advice it!
> To end this discussion - Here is some Home Truths...
1. The first ever SX 100 in 0.22 cal to leave Precihole Sports is now in my possession :D
2. I have shot over 200 pellets of different brands / weights / construction (Local & Imported)
3. The AR (ORION) shoots 1/4" groups at 30ft with open sights.!!!!
4. Windage & Elevation in the Rear Sight have been adjusted to suit pellet weights.
> The position adopted for shooting was "Hand held & Knee rested".
> If I had used a scope & used a bench rest - I would have got "Hole in Hole" groups - which I did when I tested the AR at the manufacturer's factory with imported JSB 15.2gr pellets!!!
> The cocking is smooth combined with excellent shot cycle timings.
> The trigger pressure is a crisp 3.25lbs - ideal for sports shooting - can be adjusted to lower pressure for match shooting.
> Full function automatic safety feature.
> I'll post some pictures next week as I am travelling till next week end.
Till then -
Briha
Beautiful explanation!!! That says it all!!!!

But must say, the passion and perseverence it must have taken to convert this into reality and make this accessible to the average middle class consumer is truly truly commendable. Heartiest congratulations

Now please start taking some interest in knives as well   , who knows we may have our own world class cutlery giving the likes of Chris Reeves and Rick Hinderers of the world a run for their money

Hi Moin,
> For your info I too possess a dozen knives + a Kukhri bought in Nepal with Yak horn handle. May be I'll post their pics in the future.

1. A bayonet with deer horn handle presented to my Grandfather by a British Army commander for bravery (its close to 100yrs today!!!)
2. An original Buffalo Skinner made of Solingen Steel gifted by a friend to me 30yrs ago from US
3. Hand made knife from lorry leaf spring + deer horn handle gifted to me by uncle (today its 45yrs old)

Briha
Sir, my post my misconstrued. What I meant was you can take interest and start manufacturing high quality knives like what you have done with the air rifle.

Even if you bought one knife in 5 years you would have amassed quite a collection in all these decades sir

And you can always say you knew this or you've handled knives even before my pappa was born :) ( On a lighter note, hope no offence taken)

Would love to see the pics of the knives you've mentioned above, please post when you get time

I'm planning to buy an air rifle and have been eyeing on the IHP 35 and could got the best price as INR 8100/-. Could you please let me know if this gun is already out in the market cuz this post is almost 4 months old and according your estimate this should be out by now. If the model is out, can you tell me where can i purchase it? I live in hyderabad btw.

Shooting Position? I believe you were shooting in prone position and using a hand rest.
