You dont need to frown M24...
Read my post prior to Eljefe's.... i've clearly mentioned i'm not a member of any rifle club.... but even after that he's said i can import from UK or US... that's exactly why i asked him that question...
and by the way what do u mean by hard work??? Making numerous trips to the custom's department to get back our imported rifle or to the rifle clubs to get a membership which invariably goes in vein ??? or shelling out big bucks???
The very reason for people like me joining this forum is to find a solution to our problems..... that doesn't mean everyone wants to be spoon fed...
Correct me if i'm wrong...

Hard work means taking the time to go through all the posts before asking the questions. All questions will be answered.nash wrote:

Jeff Cooper advocated four basic rules of gun safety:
1) All guns are always loaded. Even if they are not, treat them as if they are.
2) Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger till your sights are on the target.
4) Identify your target, and what is behind it.

what would you call them
what would you call them cheats or good buisness men? guns imported or bought into india. for example Benjamin Discovery PCP in .22. Comes with case pump etc.. . Actually the pakage cost not more than 55k, but gun sold at 55k then pump sold for 12 to 20k extra & the case sold seprately. now people will say try getting one & I will say just bought one & total money spent was 35k. that was also too much i guess. so why a PCP which cost in market for around 50-55k with full package including dealers profit is sold for 60-70-75 k. Again is it cheating or good buisness man? Thats the reason i deal with people like gunrunner & AI singh who do not do shady buisness & r upfront with their goods & prices. At least u get full package ur money worth & after sales support.

Sometimes you miss out on posts, threads, notifications etc. inadvertently and maynot find such despite a search
As fellow IFGians, would not be civil to simply point that thread out, if someone knows, rather than geeting into a discussion on the subject itself.
That would be forum fraternity all all about/
Just a thought.

So you want to get a rifle membership and import or pay a premium for getting your object of desire ?
And which one is it going to be ?
M.
Are you saying that the same bit of info be repeated several times over in different posts ? If yes, I disagree. Thats what Sticky posts are for.
One fallout of the Internet, Google and cell phones is that our reading, researching, memorizing and other habits of diligence have gone for a toss. Everything cannot be had instantly at the touch of a button.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Re: what would you call them
One of the age old rules of Business pricing is "whatever the market will bear". So if people pay those outrageous prices, they will continue to sell them at those prices. Maybe the finger should be pointed at the people who created the rules which made it possible for those businessmen to charge those outrageous prices.
“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense” — Winston Churchill, Oct 29, 1941

ssc,
Neither. To buy or not to buy is the buyers decision.

Thankyou for the kind words.
If iam charging good money i ought to give good stuff. With all accessories supplied by the company.
None on the forum will ever complain about my services except for a plastic crazy grown up thumb sucking baby who was whooping, yelping for a piece of plastic packing.
Some like Karizman have the nerve to sell something to a member and then take it back under some excuse and avoid returning it under the pretext of having falling sick.Even after a fortnight the part without which the gun is useless was not returned to the member.Every time he called the mobile number somebody else would recieve the phone and say that he is sick.Dont know what the fresh position is.
Hope to do more interaction and business with you and all members of the forum in all fairness and by the rules (written and unwritten) of the game.
Happy Gunning

GR you may benefit to learn a simple true - you cant build your own reputation by making bad reputation for another guy.gunrunner wrote:Hi Sanjay Bhai, ssc wrote:what would you call them cheats or good buisness men? guns imported or bought into india. for example Benjamin Discovery PCP in .22. like i keep saying its the sellers market, high price will be there.
and if one should have complains about high price one should take it up with the Finance ministry and the consumers groups.

Re: what would you call them
thats exactly what i wanted to point out under the topic "IMPORTED GUNS ON IFG"..
Since not everyone can import an air rifle directly ... either via the postal route or the personal baggage route.. is it worth paying 300% , 400% and sometimes even more money to get our object of desire???
Now one might say if u really want something .. then pay the premium... else jus lay off!!!
The very reason for the existence of this blog is to draw everyone on a fair playing ground...
I know there're so many hassles and headaches taken care off by the sellers... but still such a GIGANTIC difference in pricing will put off even the greatest of enthusiast...
I completely understand the current market situation.. and thats mainly cos of the difficulties involved.... but as an avid lover of the sport and several others like me.... i really feel we should be given a fair deal... coz not everyone can afford to pay such exorbitant sums and we will always be deprived off getting our hands on a good equipment!!!
