Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
Whats the deal with the pump? Forgive my ignorance(never used compressed air system), Cant we use a pump system(with filtering mechanism)to directly feed clean air?
I was on the verge of getting an N35, but its on hold till this matter is cleared...
I already have a national air pistol. Have had a lot of problems with it. NO SUPPORT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY IHP EVEN AFTER REPEATED EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS. On the bright side, i joined IFG because of their wonderful attitude and solved the problems myself.
I am not spending 26 k, till proper assurance is given to me regarding FULL after sale support...

Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
The pump is used for topping up air but can also be used for filling up the entire cylinder under the barrel if you so wish. Its similar to a bicycle pump but is much, much more sophisticated.
It would seem logical for you to be wary about the IHP PCP given your experience with the IHP air pistol (springer I presume) but you need not worry as the IHP PCP is a good performer as reported by its small number of users.
But you need to decide what you will do with the IHP PCP ? Its a 10mtr 500fps match gun meant for serious competition shooting FYI.

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
yup, its a springer, the build quality is just average, bought it because it was the best available option at that time. I have some problems regarding eye sight, but i love this sport well enough to make me wish to take part in official competition, not for winning but for the spirit of the game.
So that would require a good air rifle. A friend of mine currently in Dubai has promised me that he will try to get a Diana Mod. 56 target hunter, but it seems unlikely that he will come back with in 2009. That's why i was thinking of getting an N 35. But if IHP can properly answer my queries and make a commitment on service support, i might settle for the compressed air.
I am impressed by its looks, but looks can be deceiving

Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
Ahh...thats a much clearer picture now.
I take it you want to shoot in competitions.
That means with air rifles and pistols, its 10mtr air rifle and pistol and Field Target for you.
This new IHP PCP is good for ISSF 10mtr event and the new IHP PCP pistol (Price 10K approx) is good for 10mtr ISSF air pistol event.
The Diana Mod 56 I am afraid wont be allowed in the 10mtr ISSF or the 10mtr Open sight even because its way too powerful. The usual 10mtr air rifles do 500fps. The Mod 56 I believe does more than twice that speed.
However if you have set your heart on the curvy lines of the Mod 56 (can't blame you, the curves really are .....you know what I mean) then do look at Field Target which is coming up here. Google for Field Target to know more. I am also setting up mfta.in which would be our foot print in the sport of Field Target.
Happy shooting.
Manish.

Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
you can buy AirForce hand pump4. Can we buy any pump system for the air rifle with out any dimensional specifications, if NRAI is not willing for a sale?
AirForce 3-stage PCP Hand Pump, for AirForce Rifles, Pumps up to 3600 psi - $189.95
I think any tire puncture workshop can help to fill... correct me if I'm wrong

Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
Check the new thread on the launch of IHP PCP Air Pistol. It has images and details of the loading of the cylinder. The same is applicable for rifles too

Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
I found this Air Force rifles on Pyramid
priced similarly to IHP - $569.95, also question what would be the import tax.
AirForce Edge in Blue, Front & Rear Sights by AirForce
Economical 10-meter Sporter Class PCP
http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model ... el_id=1813
down side, there is no much reports on both rifles

Pump pressure is almost 3000 - 3500 psi so only option is Bauer shooting compressor.

Hi,
Ive placed a request for the compressed air rifle last month, and expect to have it delivered sometime this month end.

I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop or throw a rock at 1200 fps.

Re: IHP Compressed Air Rifle Launched
Guys -- I would suggest contacting IHP directly, over an email. Mr. Makhija was very much helpful when I did the same, for the captioned subject and he was kind enough to send a literature of the IHP Compressed Air Rifle via post to me. It has got the features and the picture too.architectharsha wrote:i'm also looking for pictures of rifle, existing owners please post them.rishudhawan wrote:Can any one share pictures and reviews.
