Here is an interesting link, where the trigger weight is reduced on a Daisy 853 from around 5.5 lbs to around 1.5 lbs [pilkguns.com], by shortening sear engagement. "Trigger travel is shortened, as well as trigger weight lessened."

Also Manish, what about the trigger of your S.P.A.R. weapon, if that is good enough perhaps you can get a similar one made?

Pranab thats a veru useful link....
I did try a new IHP 25 at the Savarkar range and the trigger was very hard. The trigger on the spar is atleast 50% better.
You can try the SPAR at the range on this weekend. Just give me a call.

Re: Improving the IHP 25 and 35 stock Trigger
trigger tuning u are referring is possible for arms with a separate trigger mechanism,in case of the spar or the other indian air rifles/pistols,the trigger acts as the sear in one piece, theres no separation between the trigger and the sear, thus it cannot in any way made to perform like the ones which has a seaparate unit for the trigger mechanism.pranab";p="42274 wrote:Here is an interesting link, where the trigger weight is reduced on a Daisy 853 from around 5.5 lbs to around 1.5 lbs [pilkguns.com], by shortening sear engagement. there is always a high risk factor involved if you try to make a direct sear trigger ,the ones in indian guns, softer ,since the arm may fire with a small jerk of closing the barrel, this risk increases in magnum powered or high powered springrifles.
therefore as abhijeet had always recom'd something atleast like the diana ball bearing type trigger design for replacing direct linked triggers which acts as the catch itself.
