Hi Nitoex,
Just a bit of information, there are multiple locally made AR's which do have thredding. Eg. Can-on. I own 2 of them. Also changed the muzzle weight to my liking by ordering one from the factory.

I had made a full barrel shroud with suppressor for my precihole a few years before. works well both in noise reduction and vibration.

I have been thinking of making myself one with jugaad. PVC pipes, aluminium plates (as baffles in the shroud) and a 5mm drill bit. There are some videos in YT.
The problem of mounting it on the muzzle can be solved with duct tapes (black tape). Wind the tape coiling it on top of itself on the muzzle. It will increase the outer dia. Then you can squeeze fit the suppressor and then fix it with tape/araldite/loctite.
Regards,
Made mine using the barrel weight, CF tube, derlin rod, hair curlers.
Some learn by reading. A few by observation. The rest of 'em have to pee on the electric fence.

An AR has an effective Range of 30 Yrds approx( 50 yrds some Brands Claims). Most of the Sound it emitting is Mechanical due to spring and piston action rather than muzzle blast like a Rifle where the powder is responsible for noise. Putting a Muzzle break is ok but installing a Sound Suppressor ???? I am not sure how much its effective, it may add some cosmetic beauty like an assault rifle look etc but effectiveness is in ????
As question about a sound suppressor is legal or not. Till the best I know ( May be I am wrong and PLS correct me if its so) In India there is no guide line for AR with or Without suppressor but for a Firearms the Sound Suppressor is available to Special operation Groups from Police or Defense forces.

It is not legal probably. You are right on that. But I am not going out in public with the suppressor put on (just backyard plinking). I just don't want to bother my old grandparents (or neighbours).
Suddenly expanding air is also loud (depends on perspective
). A simple experiment. Just blow a balloon to the max and pop it with a pin. And here we have 20 joules of pressurised air suddenly expanding. But mostly if we can reduce some sound then why not.
But lastly (and more importantly)......it is like those DIY science experiments. Just keeps things a little more interesting

Hi Arni,
Would request you to just give a thought on your last communication - knowingly possesing an illegal item even if the intent might not be harmful should be avoided. Far above should not be voiced out on a platform which might also impact the other forum members.

Would also add few days back I had a conversation regarding the legality of suppressor.

As I said in my prev. post. No guide lines for a Sound Suppressor in an AR. Reason may be anything but till now its neither Prohibited now approved. so I think its Up to user to decide.
trying a DIY Project for AR is nothing violating the rule as its now mainly install in .177, If any one wants to try a project then I don't feel there is anything serious illegal he is going to do. More over through this sort of projects many useful and handy instruments take shape.
We already see the Recent Developed Chrono by Our Members.
Effectiveness of a suppressor on AR may be a question but no harm to give a try. Frankly I support DIY projects (safety is priority) and happy to see a lot of Knife makers are now on board through the same initiative.

Ha ha ha. Its really a DIY. I think The school Vacation is started.
Dear Bullo Oka I am just Jocking. but I Really Appreciate your Efforts. Only thing What I Find Here is You have used cardboard/Tin Can sort of Material for this purpose. Frankly I don't know how Much it is effective and sturdy. For any weapon part this is the basic it should be effective and sturdy to work all out.I respect your hard work but I think you can copy the same design of yours with Metal Tubes or At least Aluminium tubes as a soft material.
Regards.
